Thrill_Biscuit
I got a puppy! She's "Bing-Bing," a tiny (she actually is the size of a Coke can) Jack Russell Cur/Chihuahua mix that my wife brought home (along with a couple bags of new pet stuff). Now, I already own a 70-pound female American Bulldog named "Snorfaleepoo," who immediately adopted the puppy(!) and has taken on motherly (rather than the intended sisterly) duties of caring for the cute little new addition to our family. Despite their size differences, they already have taken to playing with each other, and the bulldog has mastered handling the cur with gentleness. Cuteness overload! Video will be shared in the coming weeks. Well, I couldn't get video like I promised, but instead here are some stills. Meet "Bing-bing:" and "Snorfaleepoo," reacting with excitement at the arrival of her new 'sis.'

Word play devarious, word play is key to this point, boxer is a dual term in this subject. Crypt, I seriously do not get your post, whether you are agreeing or not, I have no clue. DJSkyFoxx
I know I said I would post pictures, but I think a video would be better. Here is a video of my Aibo, Zorro, playing with is pink ball ( and he is wearing some girly socks, but they were all I could find that would fit him and I would rather girly socks rather than none at all while on a hard surface! )

Tanna
I'm at that point where I'm not too present, but the itunes card is appreciated, I'm collecting all of Bob and Ray. I like putting presents for my dog under the tree to see him tear them open. so...you're saying you don't fully show up? haha- Yes- I'm never present for one half of my family, so I guess so. There are people I'm related to that come over for a 'visit', and then try to 'borrow' the things we've just unwrapped as gifts to each other. All we ever lend them is a kick out of the door. There are 'Borrowers' in the world that really don't want to 'borrow' anything, they just don't want YOU to have it. Two weeks after they 'borrow' something and you try to track it down, you'll find the items you lent torn up and thrown in a pile in the garage. Some of my family has yet to learn about these people. So in answer to your question- I NEVER fully show up to the relatives like that.
BB1
Yep, clueless you are. Terp, too can play at this game. I don't think you get my point here Terp. Confused to the fact that those who disliked it, re-birthed the concept. Clueless to what he is trying to state here, I do not see the key to the post he made. Was it to the confusion? If so, then he took that idea out of the context and twisted my words (Something I hate). To which, I also see that he has periods after the last statement, was he inferring to that idea? The post leads to a point of confusion and irrelevance, therefor to me, and I am not sure if somehow the rest have an inside joke of myself or what, it has no "statement" to the quoted text. TheCrypt
I twisted your words how? I literally copied your words verbatim, exactly how they sat on the page. Furthermore, the ellipses signify that you said more but what you said was not relevant to my point. I merely took your words and used them against you. You said in the quoted text that people on this site can be hypocrites, which is what you were essentially being. How does talking about "not missing clothes when you're not wearing them" form a family-friendly atmosphere? But it doesn't really matter. What is it Terp always says? "All in jest.."

How does talking about "not missing clothes when you're not wearing them" form a family-friendly atmosphere? But it doesn't really matter. What is it Terp always says? "All in jest.." That is the thing, it seems as if the site isn't an family atmosphere any more, and yes a few are in this light. Remember how people were a tad bit annoyed about the donkey ordeal? The same people, and I repeat, the same people started talking about them again. Upon which, the same people are "diluting" in a sense the family values of KIC, due to these slurs and discussions of non-family values. The boxer thing was just a past comment to a past pun I have heard, that seemed i context. The joke itself was a pun off of what devarious was stating, upon which he said boxers, which I took as clothing, and the dog, at the same time. Yet somehow, when I can see blue, others see red. Now I will have to agree that it may have been uncalled for, the clothing comment, and I do apologize, but it is things like this on KIC that drive me up the wall. It is things like curses and these "adult" oriented conversations that make me feel like KIC isn't my home(occasionally). Like I have stated, KIC is a "family environment", but I feel like all of these comments are veering away from that premise and idea.
thedevariouseffect
You don't have to like everything here, that's a great thing in discussions. Just everybody love everybody
The Interpreter
Agreed. There was NO problem with the donkeys, but when BB1 started bringing them up in virtually every thread he posted in, all too many people started to think of another pun, one for donkey, but for now I'll let that pass. When he was kindly asked to desist, at first he said no, not til the end of this month. After a bit, he wisely demurred. Others were not mentioning donkeys in every thread. The fact one or two have once or twice done so since should not matter. If one looks to take offense here, one will succeed. Not everything is going to be to any particular user's liking. But the goal is to have an overall satisfying and acceptable experience for the great majority. This is one of the kindest, most accepting environments where I post, and I participate in literally dozens. Cheerio!
Thrill_Biscuit
I think I may need to clarify something. 1. I mention having a huge bulldog at home; 2. DE makes a friendly reference to his own boxer dogs and asks me tacitly if my dog is as flatulent, perhaps, as his boxer dogs; 3. He asks in a way that has comic ambiguity: "How's the flatulence on your end?" 4. Seeing an opportunity to be funny, I answer "Yes," playing on the inherent -- albeit unintentional -- pun in DE's question. I appreciate the family-friendly tone of this site, and hope not to have offended anyone by going too close to "PG13."
The Interpreter
And a "pun" from boxer dogs to boxer underwear as presented and in the context of no context is far too obscure for 99.9999 percent of users here to get. "What the?" was certainly a foreseeable response, and appropriate.

Tanna
I know- it did sound like I was phasing in and out like a bad Star Trek SFX. One can't pick one's family, but with an iPhone, at least one can pick which ones they talk to. I've learned small holidays are the best, anyway. My Christmas is actually picking up the tree and decorating it, after that, the rest is just a lagniappe.
