Happy New Year everyone! (Or as one Jc would say " Sad New year") I hope that everyone is having a great new year, as I have. As 2014 comes, and 2013 dies, and thankfully is buried with the rest of the rides, not to mention topics, of the elder days, I can't help but think of what could happen in 2014. Fond memories splurge from last year's KIC Last Day event, and the Banshee walk through i got to experience, leading to thoughts (and thankfully no decoding) of 2014 events. That leads me to ask, what 2014 KIC Days/Events would you like to have/see?

Stranger things have happened.

There's Wild Adventures in Valdosta. Lake Winnie is actually in Georgia, too.

Given my budget for this year, I'll be lucky if I leave the Buckeye State, and even luckier if I do more than go to HoliWood Nights.

Stranger things do happen. Last July I had no idea what to do for Katie for her birthday. 2012 I got an upright piano for her. Got to one up it. (The piano cost me $0!)

So long story short, we ended up in Florida. She got to see the ocean. It can happen for you if it happened for us. (I don't make tons of money either and support both if us on it.)

Now to conquer the next birthday.

^^ Me and my friends have a game called the Indiana Challenge where we drive just past the Indiana border and then return. Upon our arrival to Ohio we must come up with a good reason to have gone to Indiana by the time we make it to the Banks. So far no one has won.

Some do that to buy liquor not stocked at state-controlled liquor stores, to purchase "out-of-state" fireworks, or for cheaper cigarette taxes. Notice what types of businesses exist next to the border. (You're too young to do any of those things, though. )

When I was a teenager I drove from Central Indiana to Michigan just so I could say I've been in a state I've never been in. I've been in Michigan more than once now, but never for a real purpose.

Or to see a Televised Bengals game. Though by the time I reach the 75 mile radius I might as well check out Indy.

People from Indy are seeking out opportunities to see the Colts play. They were extended time until Saturday to sell I think 6000 tickets. If not, it will be blacked out in Indy. Otherwise, you might be able to exchange living rooms to watch games.

In the winter time there's also Perfect North Slopes. If you're not into skiing or snowboarding, you can easily waste an afternoon there on the snowtube lanes. It's not the cheapest thing in the area ($25 for unlimited tubing during the week or $25 for 2 hours / $30 for 3 hours on the weekends), but it's a ton of fun.

Just a few ideas for events in 2014:

-Winter Blues Event: After Don's hint towards the week before the Super Bowl, I am hesitant on whether we should have one, somewhere sometime, or just wait for a true confirmation of some sort of winter event.

-Opening Day: Already stated in our topic.

-Mid Summer Event: Celebrate the Waterpark!

-Haunt: Fun, and exciting to go through as an group

Note: I will be able to come to these events (Probably!)

Ideas for stuff to do for y'all in 2014 if I could choose:

Go back to the ride graveyard if it's still there

Go inside of Backlot, I don't think anyone has ever been on a tour inside of the ride area, you could get some great pictures

Daylight tour of the Crypt building that allows pictures (Boo Madame and your no pictures daylight tour )

Go on the 50 foot platform...I know it's a snowballs chance in Hell, but I know y'all would love to go up there again, I would

Tour the maint. buildings

Maybe do a behind the scenes in Soak City, never has been really focused on tbh
