I was at the park today, and noticed some major changes already since the last update. The loading platform for Taz is being constructed, with the supports up. Also, much more of The Racers are up, with some of the tube sections up. Also some terrain changed are being made right next to the employee entrance.

It's only been 5 days, maybe he has a life?

Its been cloudy lately. Today was nice, but the hang over wasn't. unsure.gif

lol.. now they have those pills on the market that if you take then while you're drinking, they prevent hangovers..

For those of you who haven't been down in the area where the sites take BB pics, it's really not as "easy" as it looks. It's quite a long walk down the fenceline, which is of course made even longer when you stop and take pics. It really makes for a long hour or two when it's below freezing out. You guys should be appreciative that Tyson goes out there and brings you pics as often as he does.

You'd be going out on a limb by saying that they have lost time due to the weather. I'm sure that in their planning they realized that there was a good chance of there being blistering cold from late November until March or so. It seems like since both pages had been giving you updates with little activity over the past two months or so, we created the illusion that things weren't going as planned. Trust me, if they had any fear at all that it wasn't going to open on time, it would have been in the papers by now.

Why would pki inform the press in mid february if they had worries the waterpark wouldnt be open my the end of may. that seems insane, first of all, it is way to early to tell if it would be delayed by a time period that great that they would have to inform the papers, and second of all, that would be retarded becuase all it would do is give them bad press for people looking to get season passes and such.

uhhh... ok, I see what you're saying, but the press DOES have a tendancy to get their hands on info like that. It's stuff that people want to read. The park doesn't necessarily call a press conference saying that they're behind schedule, but word does get out. I mean, what about the 500,000 gallons of water they needed a few months ago?? Obviously we know that the park can work wonders and it wasn't that big of an issue, but for a general public, it did kind of give the impression that they may or may not be able to go through with the project at all. I wouldn't doubt it if people delayed buying season passes because of it.

I total agree with Boob on this one.

All I know is that when the park was half a million gallons of water short, the press got a hold of that. Being that short of water would be a slight problem if you're in the process of doing a multi-million dollar waterpark upgrade... wink.gif

I'm with BoddaH on this one. If there is a delay in the opening date, the press will ask and the park will answer.

The shortage was a non issue.

Jeff Siebert said someone not even affilated with the park asked about it and the press caught on like wildfire. They have plenty of water.

A non-issue? I guess the press must have lied to me. Half a million gallons sounds like a lot of water.

I can understand it if the park needed that half million just as a precautionary to avoid running out of the stuff.

Between Crocodile Dundee's Boomerang Bay and The Beach Water Park, both in Mason, I wonder whether or not Mason will have a water shortage. I sincerely hope not.

Have a great day!

You guys are killing me. Sure the press might get wind of it. I NEVER said they wouldnt...i just said that PKI would not hold a press conference about it. It would be absolutley retarded. And if the press asked...they wouldnt answer. It would be retarded to, and if you think they would then you need to question your sanity.

I notice in the new pictures posted the stands next to Pipeline paradise are gone.

Are they going to put them back or are they gone for good?

during the summer I notice a lot of people sit up there watching. smile.gif

The stands ("bleachers") have been moved out to the employee softball fields. Since they are positioned with one on each side of the field, I assume they are staying there and not coming back.

Do you think they will re-land scape that area or leave it a veiwing area with just a concrete slab there ? Reason I ask is A lot of people stand over there watching people and without that area there their going to be standing at the front of the exit area there and cause a big conjestion in the walk way and people trying to exit the ride.

If they were going to put it back, why would they have taken them out and put them so far away? Its not like they were in the way of getting construction equipment through there cause they were on their own little slabs. Only time will tell.
