What's new, coaster wise, for PKI?

Recommended Posts

Well, we have some good ones, and some day, we'll get another one. The last ten years have brought the world's first LIM-launched coaster, Flight of Fear; one of the world's tallest inverts, Face/Off (hey, if you don't believe me, chech RCDB, it's like 6 or 7 on the records); the world's biggest, baddest junior invert, Rugrats Runaway Reptar; and not to forget that other coaster they call Son of Beast...something about it being the world's tallest, fastest, only looping and second longest wooden coaster.

That's it. What's in store for the future? Nobody knows...yet...

Ok, we can't all go believing what people say and we need to learn that. If we all believed what other people said this world would be very bad and as many questions as you ask about the park Drewbari, I'd get more sources before believing anything.

I think Boob was most likely being sarcastic in his above comment, since that's usually how he is. Jeffrey Siebert mentioned at the Boomerang Bay construction tour that they were in fact redoing the rosebowl on SOB to make it less of a, well... SOB.

Now I know many people on this board do not believe when people say they have "inside" info, but you should believe me because I have been inside the park and I have seen with my eyes that the Rosebowl of SOB has been extensively worked on during this off-season. The bowl has been re-track and much of the structure surrounding the bowl has been worked on or replaced, all in hopes of smoothing out the circle and the transition in and out.

If the work on it makes it as smooth as the first turn after the first drop on The Beast, then the rosebowl could end up being tolerable and maybe, enjoyable. Hopefully, the money the park is sinking into fixing the rosebowl will make it smooth and allow the park next offseason to work on other parts of the ride. Hopefully, the ride is on its way to becoming a smooth, enjoyable ride. As I remember reading a wooden coaster designer saying that a wooden coaster is always under construction. With Son of Beast, I`m sure that will be true. I just hope that they get it to be more tolerable and re-rideable than what it currently was last year.

Hey, all you guys out there!  What's going on with PKI and its coasters?  I want to hear from you!

What's going on with their coasters? Nothing seeing how it's the beginning of March. As for what's new, they are adding a third lap to Taxi Jam. tongue.gif
