Fire-Beast-OF FEAR
Makes sense. I keep on forgetting that as an younger enthusiast who visits and follows the park frequently is not a major target audience to the Live Show Department. It just seems odd that people on this site, at meet ups and normal visits, watched that show 4-5+ times in the season.
The Interpreter
I saw the Scooby show more than three dozen times in one season...I believe it was 1999. And I definitely was NOT the target market.
homestar92
Four to five times in the season? That's cute. I enjoyed it many more than four or five times. Then again, I'm the sort of person who let out uproarious laughter every time I heard the "Did you feel that rumble? I sharted my pants" line. The 22-year-old me goes to the Kings Island to take pictures of things and marvel at the feats of engineering while the 6-year-old in me gets let out of the cage he is locked up in the rest of the time.
calakapepe
I saw the Scooby show more than three dozen times in one season...I believe it was 1999. And I definitely was NOT the target market. Now that was a show I truly loved as a kid. Actual characters and an actual story. Great show, I missed it when it was gone.. and still do! -- And although not a magic show, I still never figured out how Shaggy walked out from the refrigerator that was actually a flat backdrop aside from a window... that was one awesome thing about Nickelodeon being the kids' theme and having Nickelodeon actually be current with children at the time. Slime Time Live also was extra cool because it was something that was currently running on TV and at Universal Studios. Peanuts are only current on the holiday videos that are shown to kids. (I have a 9 year old sister) And I wouldn't be surprised if they still used VHS, not that VHS is bad.. but that's how irrelevant The Peanuts are to children nowadays.
CedarPointer
Oh, I remember the Scooby show from Canada's Wonderland! And the Peanuts movies are, in fact, available on DVD. I own a few.

jdf21972
My son went 8-10 times just so he could hold the bucket for the duck magic trick. He finally did and was content not to go back again. Sent from my iPhone using Taptalk
Fire-Beast-OF FEAR
^^ International Showplace is really one of my favorite park venues. The shaded but still open air seating makes for a great setting and the double-deck stage with the spiral staircases can make for some very creative choreography.

PKIVortex
I'm actually looking forward to this one. I can bet they will be 98 degrees song, Backstreet Boys, Nsync, and probably some One Direction. What can I say? Some of these songs are catchy. lol

calakapepe
Oou cool!Boy bands get a bad rep as far as how cool they are, but honestly, I looked up some live performances from a few groups and it looks like it could end up being entertaining. It's like this theme (boybands) was born to be performed at Kings Island... Even if many grow tired of music revues, I can't image much point in a story based show in a place where people eat. The shows in there are watched intently by some, but many just enjoy, or ignore, the music in the background and occasionally watch. Now the International Showplace.. that is a place that could welcome a non-music revue in the future.Though some seem to be pleased with its 2014 show returning upon guests' popular demand.

calakapepe
Yep. For the ones that will definitely be performing by April 26th.. It merely gives the schedule between the dates.. It doesn't say when the show will open. Keep your eyes peeled... Figuratively. Unless an announcement is made specifying, or Don posts on this thread to clarify that April 26th means April 26th. *clears throat.*
