May 6, 201412 yr First standing coaster ever designed by Intamin with the help of Giovanola aka B&M which boasts the signature box style B&M track. Is sitting in a bunch of peices in a field at Darien Lake. I don't understand why they would keep such a coaster in storage. Instead of either scrapping the ride or repainting / refurbishing the coaster and adding on to the coaster count in the park.. Opinions anyone?
May 6, 201412 yr Having ridden it, I understand. B&M have learned a lot, to put it charitably. See also Apocolypse née Iron Wolf at SFA and Vortex at Carowinds. EDIT: Fixed. Thanks and a tip of the hat to PKIVortex.
May 6, 201412 yr Author No, this was the original before it was cloned, google map Darien Lake you will see it sitting in pieces in a field at the back of the park.

May 6, 201412 yr From what I understand, a lot of rides that were moved out of Six Flags AstroWorld, Batman The Escape included, were damaged during their transportation. Also, its been sitting for so long, the elements might have taken enough of a toll that it would be incredibly time consuming to refurbish the current pieces. It's probably better off as scrap metal.
