An hour and a half opposed to three and a half...although one is a small water park and one is a world-class amusement park.

Hmmm...they quickly moved the live cam off the front gate midway and it sure looks like the back of the park is empty.

I hope I'll still be able to go to Cedar Point tomorrow for Coasting for Kids. I know what happened with the water main break is out of Cedar Point's Control but I worked really hard for this event.

Typically a boil water order follows a waterline break repair....

All guests have apparently been evacuated from the peninsula, including the resorts. The causeway is currently closed to traffic according to ODOT. Residents on the Cedar Point chausse are also affected by the water main break.

Wow...look at the nickels lost today. If I were a CEO of Cedar Fair, I would be looking at sewage/water treatment options for the peninsula. It would be worth $20 million.

The same people cursing at Cedar Point in their Facebook page are the same ones who would file a lawsuit if the park remained opened and there wasnt enought water to keep all of the guests hydrated. Cedar Point did not want this to happen. They will lose over $1 million in ticket sales alone today. Add in resort sales and bookings, food, merchandise, etc. its a huge loss for Cedar Point.

This is a bunch of horsepucky...have reservations for Hotel Breakers tomorrow night-Weds. I wonder when they planned on calling me? Now, I'm kind of screwed as far as getting a place to stay Sun night.

All off island CF properties are fully booked now as well. I wonder if anyone did plan to call, or, have me pull a Walley World tomorrow evening. Lady on the phone was not accomodating at all, basically said love it, or shove it, we don't care.

So, PNC Park in Pittsburgh for baseball tomorrow afternoon, and, instead of having my feet in the sand outside Hotel Breakers on the lake, I'll be at the Knights Inn.

For all those who attended yesterday, we dodged a bullet.

Man that sucks for the park and guests. I am very fortunate to have been able to go last weekend. I had the choice of this weekend or last for our trip. I was unsure of how crowded coastermania would make the park for the weekend so I went with last weekend. Bullet dodged.

According to Cedar Point no decision about Sunday has been made yet.

Lame...should be working all night to make sure the park can open tomorrow. When this is the only trip families plan for the summer, all measures should be taken. This is the only getaway we had planned, and, now it is half shot to hell. I'll be lucky now to get in the park/check into Breakers at any point Monday.

For everyone with reservations on the property, made in good faith, paying triple retail to stay on said property? Making last minute hotel plans, that I cannot cancel for Sun eve? Based on a phone call stating park would likely open on Sunday? When I could have gone to Carowinds instead?
