The Beach waterpark (in Mason) won't be open this weekend, Jonathan.

Cool temperatures in the forecast (presumably) caused them to re-schedule their opening.

I just can't comprehend this weather. It was 85 degrees and sunny two days ago and now, all of a sudden, it's 53 degrees and cloudy. Isn't mid-May supposed to be the time this stops happening and we start getting consistent weather?!

At least Soak City was never planned to open this week.

No Beach? Sounds like I'll be playing some MagiQuest that morning/afternoon instead, because I'm not waiting in the long lines at KI and I'm not driving down just to do a 5K and leave. That's perfectly fine with me, since I really don't feel like doing a waterpark in this weather.

Not every Saturday of the season has long lines at KI.

Unseasonably cool temperatures and a chance of rain might keep crowds away. Or they might not.

The weather might keep crowds away. The 5K will definitely bring the crowds to the park. I'm going with the definite rather than the maybe.

They have a wood coaster. It's a wild one.

As of now, Zoombezi Bay (at the Columbus Zoo) is still planning to operate this weekend, in case anyone is desperate to visit an outdoor waterpark early. Highs will be in the 50s Saturday and the 60s Sunday. I've never been there, so I'm actually considering it.

They donated 10,000 waterpark tickets, valid this weekend only, to the USO. I wonder how many that will attract.

I'm not 100% certain that the zip line will open with the park. I do know that their mat slides will not.

I don't like some ACE members. Busy days don't bother me I will find fun things to do, lines are lines, I've got time.

Dealing with some creepy/rude/annoying members..Aint nobody got time for that.

However..the ones with the ACE watches, belt, shirts, sunglasses straps, goggles...

Then if I have to be in the queues with them..and they talk nonstop..

Plus I believe SR2 is an avid Acer and will potentially be at the park. I avoid him and his smell at all costs.

I don't believe its been posted on here yet, and it kind of surprises me, but for those that are saddened whenever KI clears out a group of trees, prepare yourself for the large clearing they created this offseason at The Beach. I'm not sure if that is where the zip line will start (would make sense as that is near or at the top elevation of the park) or if they are doing something else in that area, but they have cleared out a good chunk of trees just north of the "large" red slide by the highway.

Also just to FYI..there is a group coming from the base of single unnacompanied airman, dunno how many but there is a group on it's way at some point this weekend that will be staying down there as well for KI..I'll avoid that too lol

I have just been informed that The Beach's Zip Line WILL be ready for opening day. The mat slides, however, do not yet have an official ETA.

I'd rather see The Beach make good business decisions.

^ The zoo uses this as a dry run weekend for the waterpark, so they were going to open no matter what the likely attendance would be.

They want to be ready for Memorial Day weekend.
