August 6, 201412 yr They could also have a system where you rent the locker online before you ever enter the park that way the only one that will be looking over my shoulder is my cat. Or add locker reservations to their mobile app. People can still look over your shoulder when you actually open the locker.
August 6, 201412 yr Lookout is only able to work if installed..wipe the phone as most criminals do, no good.
August 6, 201412 yr If this is a first offense for these women, the Warren County prosecutor may just decide to offer a plea deal whereby the women could agree to repay the money (good luck), serve some community service, probation, agree to a lifetime ban from all Ohio parks and offer a public apology, rather than face jail. Here in Indiana, our criminal code was recently revised to allow judges to issue little or no jail time to such low-level offenses, thus saving the jail space for more serious offenders. While what these women did was reprehensible and wrong, I don't know that I'd offer up 2 jail beds for it.
August 6, 201412 yr My last trip to Soak City I left my stuff in my beach bag along with a towel on a lounge chair in a crowded area in Soak City. I rode slides and did the lazy river and came back a couple hours later and everything was untouched. Then I dried off, threw on a shirt and some flip flops and headed to the dry park with all my stuff in the same spot. I came back several hours later and once again my belongings were in the same spot I left them. Granted I didn't leave anything of value behind anyway (except my cell phone), and I don't recommend anyone else to try this, but I will say that sometimes the safest hiding spot is the one in plain sight. I do this too... I always put it on a chair over by the little kid pool because its always super crowded and I like to think that the the abundance of the watchful mommies in the area will deter people from taking my stuff. I never risk it with anything very valuable though.
August 6, 201412 yr Related! http://www.local12.com/news/features/top-stories/stories/two-women-accused-theft-kings-island-lockers-15585.shtml Looks like they may have figured out who was doing this... unless there's multiple parties involved in the stealing of course.
August 6, 201412 yr Uh, you might want to read the last few posts before posting,,, that's what we've been discussing here for a while!
