KIBeast Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Cool article. I guess someone has to be professional roller coaster painters. Not a bad job. 1 Quote
BB1 Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Don't you mean Rougarou? Or is it Mantis? King James Coaster? My head hurts. (Someone had to pull it and beat Terp to the punch) Cool article, interesting bits about painting it. It should be noted that this is the same company that did The Bat. Quote
Voicetek Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 I can't imagine painting an entire roller coaster with a hand roller. Yikes! Quote

I am correct - It is still Mantis, therefore "work begins on Mantis' transformation" - in order to make it Rougarou. 2 Quote

Hank Posted October 2, 2014 Author Posted October 2, 2014 So you do not stand corrected... True - I don't. Matter of fact, I feel as if someone is pulling the floor out from under me! 5 Quote
Gplez90 Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 In case anyone hasn't seen it in the Random Photo of The Day thread, here is a picture of just how wonderful the new paint job is. The orange looks outstanding and even pops out at night. I caught myself staring at it for quite some time actually! Great job by the painters! 13 Quote
KIBeast Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 I'm really digging the new color scheme. That's a great looking coaster. Once they change to floorless, it will be much more fun to ride. 2 Quote
bkroz Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Wow! This has got to look even better in person. An unexpected combination, but I'm a big fan! Almost a pinkish orange with those nice teal supports. Very cool. I hope it's not a flat, standard orange in person and keeps the cool sunset look seen here. 3 Quote
Merthecat Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I like the colors, but they look too generic to me. I liked the multi-colored paint scheme better. Quote
