PETA and anyone assoiciated with them can rot in a trash can somewhere as they kill more animals than any other and are just as corrupt.

How so? I'm not a PETA fan, I like supporting farm sanctuaries and no-kill shelters directly. But I've never heard of PETA killing animals. (Doing other crazy stuff? Yes.)

I think you're mistaken on the target, the video was taken on a tour at Warner Bros. Studio in London, not at a Universal Park. And even if it were at Universal, I think the inference of a Disney connection is still quite a bit of a reach, to put it mildly. Especially when you consider PETA's opposition to Disney's Animal Kingdom in its early years.

As for PETA, I'm not a fan of the organization in the least. I'm all for animal welfare, but they definitely take things way too far and represent the extremist end of what, at its heart, is a good cause.

Sorry about the link, that was the only way to get it.

It looks at first blush that PETA is targeting Disney competition.

I'm not saying Disney is involved, but considering the park is reported to have an army is stray cats, where is PETA in the concern about this?

So what does this story have to do with Universal in Florida and targeting Disney competition? Seriously you are grasping at straws seeing as the article is about the Harry Potter tour at Warner Brother Studios in London and has zero mention of Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Disney, Florida or the USA.

These are the misleading tactics that a group like PETA uses to sensationalise a story.

Do a Google search you'll find plenty of articles to read. I have read some most recently was a bit over a year ago though as i choose to ignore most things related to PETA as they **** me off to no end.

Next thing PETA gonna to do is target pet owners and say that keeping dogs in cages while you are gone is bad. ( 3-5 hrs)

I like the idea PETA stands for, but some animals are better suited in captivity then the wild.

If anything I'd say keeping dogs in a (large) cage while you're gone is safest!

I think I'll hold off on the google search. Maybe I don't want to know. I'll take your word for it.

PETA would accuse Universal's Islands of Adventure of mistreating owls... and then go morbidly silent after learning they're animatronic.

That was my first thought too, but I didn't know for sure if they were real or fake.

Apparently, they also do not care about how they train their dragons.

Here is an example of PETA's intelligence level....a few summers ago they sent hoards of protesters to protest animal testing where they gathered and marched outside of the Chemed Corporation building downtown.

They were protesting chemical testing of animals...and no one in the hoards bothered to do research because Chemed is a corporation that operates the wholly owned subsidiaries of VITAS Health Care Services specializing in end of life hospice care and Roto-Rooter plumbing and drain cleaning.

Thank you all for correcting me. I read RIGHT THERE "Warner" and I don't know why I thought it was Universal.

What's so sad, I'm doing a wizard school theme for a dog show, and sat through every one of those movies with the Warner logo emblazoned onto my eyeballs.

(I don't know if it's because my niece is saving to go to Harry Potter world in Florida or not, that I mistook it. There's only so many email ads you can get a day before they all blend together.)

What? I was so mad I couldn't see straight? No. There's not even the same number of syllables in those studio names.

Railrider, I was not grasping at straws, I made an honest mistake. I'll not come down on you when you do the same thing.

Yes they do. It's also been reported (and videotaped showing their "PETA" marked vans) of them going on peoples porches stealing their dogs for that reason, of course they deny it. And as far as their "shelter"? Someone went undercover in it and posted an article about that talking about how they kill the dogs and kitties and I regret ever seeing that dang website. I won't even post it cause I don't even want to remember it. Do a search.

There's a reason I grit my teeth at the mere mention of those Idiots.

I couldn't help the curiosity so I did end up searching it last night. That's just awful. :( It's such a shame that an organization like this is the public face of "animal lovers" when obviously it couldn't be further from the truth.
