June 3, 201511 yr Judging by the comments I looked at so far I would say Pirates of the Caribbean is a lock.
June 3, 201511 yr So, do they set up a big projection screen? Boy, that sure sounds great. We used to have a pretty good drive in here untill just a few years ago. I still prefer a drive-in to a theatre anyday. Just love em.
June 3, 201511 yr So, do they set up a big projection screen? From KI's Facebook page as linked above (so, I'd say, yep):
June 3, 201511 yr Yea Jaws is the perfect movie for watching in a pool. I voted for PotC and Ghostbusters
June 4, 201511 yr We thought about going to a few of these last summer but I couldn't shake the feeling it was going to be rediculously crowded and that we wouldn't be able to get in the pool during the movie due to the limited space. Did anyone here actually go to one that can tell me if it was fun and worth the effort?
June 10, 201511 yr The movies are such a great experience in the park, I'm so grateful for the amazing experience that has been created by the Kings Island staff. The selection this year seems really solid. I hope it lives up to my expectations!
June 26, 201511 yr @KingsIslandPR ADVISORY: Due to inclement weather tonight's Soak City Dive-In Movie has been cancelled.
July 3, 201511 yr Is tonight's movie still on? And.... does one have to get in the wave pool in order to watch the movie?...also what time is it recommended that one arrive to get in to the event?
July 4, 201511 yr Is tonight's movie still on? And.... does one have to get in the wave pool in order to watch the movie?...also what time is it recommended that one arrive to get in to the event? Sorry this answer couldn't get to you before the movie started last night, but no, you don't have to get in the pool to watch, as they have several screens angled for swimmers as well as non-swimmers. I would recommend getting there when the waterpark closes (at 8, which is an hour and a half before the movie starts). It wasn't so necessary to get there that early last night due to there not being a lot of guests, but there normally is a pretty good amount, so seats can fill up quickly. Did you end up going last night?
July 6, 201511 yr No I stayed away from the park Friday. But thanks for the info.....I think this Friday will be packed for sure for the Dive-in.....Frozen....yikes!
