First ever visit tomorrow!

Featured Replies

I've been to CP three times but tomorrow I'll be on my way to KI for the first time ever!

Any last minute tips for a great day full of coasters?

Well, I know that everyone else here willl give you some pretty good recommendations......Possibly in-depth ones at that.

I just have 2 recommendations for you.

Simply put :

Ride The Beast.

Ride The Beast at night (If Possible).

Two completely different experiences, both of which you'll likely never forget.

Enjoy your visit!

Do enjoy The Beast once, and then again at night if possible.

EDIT: Unchained beat me to it!

Be sure to enjoy The Vortex, too!

Most here including myself would also recommend a viewing of Cirque Imagine.  A little above and beyond your average amusement park show.  I'd also recommend Off the Charts myself. B)

And take some quarters and douse some peeps on White Water Canyon. Tell the peeps your name is Thrill_Biscuit.

Kidding about that last part.

I may have gone to Kings Island only a couple of times this year, but here are some tips that have heightened my experience at Kings Island.

If you plan to arrive at the park right when it opens, head directly to Flight of Fear and Firehawk (behind Racer). Those coasters get long lines quickly, so it's best to ride them first. Try to get front row on Flight of Fear. It is also worth a re-ride if possible IMHO. Invertigo and Backlot Stunt Coaster seem to get long lines quickly as well. Riding Beast during the day as well as at night in the front row is a must!!! It's not a day at Kings Island without riding the longest wooden coaster in the world! Vortex is fun but rough. Smoothest seats on Vortex are 5-1 and 7-1 (fifth and seventh cars front left seat). Banshee front row is fun, but the back row is the most intense ride in the park IMHO. Diamondback in the back is great! Lots of ejector air. Try to ride Racer at least once. It's a timeless classic and pretty fun. The Bat is a fun hidden gem across the way from Banshee. Be sure to go up the Eiffel Tower as well. It has amazing views of the entire park and the surrounding area!

I hope crowds are really light for you and you have a #KIBestDay!!
