The Interpreter Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 The meal plan helps me justify trips to Putz's Creamy Whip during my rare Cinci time. Friendly, fast, delectable, clean, inexpensive. Well worth my time spent getting there. Pay as you go, what a concept. Terp, who grew up with ride tickets, low priced admission (a dime!), free parking...but nickel toilets---shorter lines--but you couldn't pick your seats on rides--even though you paid by the ride. I wonder what Harry Nudd would think of meal plans--he of the Chicago MBA--which virtually no one knew about until his passing. Quote
thedaveyboyshow Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 I wholeheartedly am on board with a $30 "all you can drink" season long soft drink option that would allow you to scan your season pass (just like you do to get your meal plan meals) rather than carrying around a cup. I hate, hate, hate carrying around the cup. It is not a matter of keeping a locker - I just hate the idea of having to have something to carry around all day/every day. I understand the loss of revenue from locker rental and the additional expense of paper cups - that is why I would gladly pay more than the cost of the stupid sports cup to offset these additional expenses from the park. 6 Quote
jdf21972 Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 At Carowinds I loved that they had the funnel cake stand on the dining plan. Great way to end the night with some funnel cake 5 Quote
OldieButGoodie Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 I'd be up for a flat fee on my pass for unlimited drinks w/o the stupid cup. My souvenir cup (from Coasterstock) isn't activated yet... I too, hate hate HATE carrying the cup! My son opts for water instead of carrying the dang cup. 5 Quote
The Interpreter Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Better quality. Better food. Better choices. Better service. Or let me choose when I want to pay for what. Oh, wait.... 2 Quote

Great way to end the night with some funnel cake ^^^ This needs to happen chain-wide... Speaking of funnel cake, I have two (2) BOGO funnel cake coupons I won from the front of the line wheel in front of DB from earlier this year. Since I likely only have time for 1-2 more visits this season and don't plan on attending with a large group, if anyone wants them, I'm more than happy to stick a stamp on an envelope and mail them out. PM me if interested. 2 Quote
Italian Job 2005 Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Also. I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but keeping the four hour interval and NOT setting designated times is a must if I am to even consider the plan. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 4 Quote
shark6495 Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Agreed the four hour window is nice and just long enough without being too long Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 3 Quote

As per the funnel cake guy when we visited opening day, it was not supposed to be bit was added to the park map and rather than having them all reprinted, they honored it. It wasn't even entered into the POS system so it was basically a flash your pass and get one. It makes sense since a few pennies on the cost of a funnel cake vs thousands, if not millions of reprints. 2 Quote
