Italian Job 2005 Posted October 22, 2016 Share Posted October 22, 2016 I just got off Diamondback when me and my friend saw WindSeeker at the top. We went to the base of that tower to check it out and talked to a ride op. There were never any guests on it when they moved it to the top. BoddaH1994 Posted October 25, 2016 Share Posted October 25, 2016 I don't think many understand the scope of trouble that would have to occur in order to have to bust out the "yellow thing." If the computer malfunctions or even if they lose power they can manually lower it. From what I understand, you would be something like a catastrophic cable break and the emergency clamps in place before an evac is even in the conversation. When they first installed Drop Zone, if an emergency occurred, they could only evac one rider at a time. I suspect that just like DZ, it will take longer to get all the specialty teams in place and equipment rigged, than the actual evac. Or everyone waiting 3 hours to get off? That makes no sense. If it's broken, you can't guarantee it will ever make it back down in 3 hours.
