jcgoble3
https://www.sixflags.com/greatadventure/attractions/drop-doom-vr Thankfully, this is for a limited time only, so not a permanent change. And hopefully the VR won't make the wait times too long, since the description alone pretty much excludes anyone with arachnophobia (which is a lot of people). I didn't watch the video, though. silver2005
I get why SIX is doing this because money, but how does a 400+ ft free fall tower attached to the side of the world's tallest coasterĀ not hold your attention enough to warrant using VR?
malem
VR would seem to kill the advantage of being on the world's tallest Drop Tower. With a phone strapped to your face, might as well be riding a much shorter one.
silver2005
Didn't SFNE slap VR on their Superman hyper coaster, aka, one of the highest ranked steel coasters in the world?
VekomaRulz
I am hoping they will temporary use the single rider line for a non VR line so those not wanting VR won't have to wait in a long line. I might try VR once but otherwise would rather not use it since the view at the top is great. Unless it is really cloudy, most days you can see Philadelphia from the top of the tower. SFGAm also slapped VR onto Raging Bull, which may not be one of the highest ranked coasters in the world, but it's certainly one of the most popular in their park.
silver2005
^Yeah, the point being that I thought this was more of a way to update, modernize, and give new coasters new life, thus spreading out the lines. Ā Putting VR on coasters already immensely popular seems kind of unnecessary and arbitrary.Ā
