TopThrillDragster Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Whats your Favorite coaster and why? Quote
PKI Homey Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Has to be The Beast. I would say that this has been PKI's best investment since people travel from miles around just to ride it. Quote
SOB_TOM Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Wooden: The Beast. Theres a reason its in the top ten, and every time I ride it, I know why. Steel: Flight of Fear. I just love that ride Quote
0-120 Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Beast. Definently. The hill still gets me and those helixes are insane. My favorite steel is Face/Off, but only if I'm climbing up the hill face down. I love that. Letting go and letting your arms hang down is great. I love the people that are scared of its faces too. I only wish it was straight up like Deja Vu.... oh well. Quote
adbort Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Wood: I would have to say The Beast, it's a classic rollercoaster, and even people have tired to copy it, but have not been able too for 25 years. Steel: I would have to go with Vortex, just because it still brings enjoyment to me, and also it was the first big coaster I ever rode, back in '87, when I was 7 years old. Quote
Return_of_Yogi Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Woodie : recaR Steel Rod : Flight of Fear Dont get mad I didn't say Beast.....but recaR is my favorite! Quote
fryler87 Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Even though this should probably be in the POLLS section...who cares? I don't... Woodie: The Beast...need I explain? Steel: Flight of Fear...front seat; 0-50 in just a few seconds gives you the biggest rush in the world (behind Top Thrill Dragster). Great design (for the dark, at least), plenty of turns and speed!!! BRILLIANT! Quote
stephenmayes Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Thats allright Yogi, recaR gives you a totally different sensation then The Beast could ever dream of giving you. I completly understand why you said that The Beast is by far my favorite coaster in the park. In a tie for 2nd I am going to have to go with Vortex, AE , and Top Gun. Tiny Quote
Reptarrunner Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Wood: Beast with a close second on recaR. Steel: Either Top Gun or Reptar, I'm not a huge fan of steel coasters, for some reason. Quote
kyguy24 Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 The Beast - especially at night Flight of Fear - great theming - different than the "norm" Quote
Stitch Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 Wooden ~ Son of Beast, it's just the best IMO. Steel ~ Flight of Fear has so much more than the other steels. Quote
Scooby_Doo Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 I have 2 Fav Woodies 1.The Beast&SoB-Love em At Night Steel: Runaway Reptar -I love The Theme What Can I say But The Best Steel I have been on so far is Scooby Doo's Spooky Coaster in Warner Bros. Movie World its a Wild Mouse with TONS of Theming ! Quote
TopThrillDragster Posted April 8, 2004 Author Posted April 8, 2004 wood: Beast! Its just an awesome ride and its the best at night! steel: Flight of Fear! Its crazy dark and twistie! Its a lot of fun! Quote
Solid Snake Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 Wood: SoB, he owns his daddy. Steel: Meh, Vortex. Quote
TraderJake Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 recaR, just because it is no where near as painful as its counterpart, offers a great ride, and it is backwards, which makes it sweet in many ways. Quote
Crazy31088 Posted April 9, 2004 Posted April 9, 2004 Wooden: Forward Racer (nothing beats the experience) Steel: Vortex (can give anything from a monstrously unstable [but never painful] ride to a completely smooth one, either way, I love it). Quote
FSASBoxcarRace14 Posted April 9, 2004 Posted April 9, 2004 BEAST owns all! 25 years of terror and pure kick ass! Quote
coasterrz Posted April 9, 2004 Posted April 9, 2004 I would have to say The Beast, because there iks no other ride like it in the world. I like how once you leave the first lift, you feel seperated from the rest of the park. In a sense, because The Beast sits on 35 heavily wooded acres, the ride is isolated from the midways. I just love the fact that throughout most of the course, you are blazing through the woods of PKI, without any indication to your wherabout in the park with relation to other attractions, except on the lift hills. Quote
TopThrillDragster Posted April 16, 2004 Author Posted April 16, 2004 The Beast fo sho. Its so long and with the two lift hills it makes for a great ride. Quote
coasterdime Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 Beast is my favorite, for all the reasons others have listed. Top Gun probably ranks as my favorite steel. It's a fun ride, with rarely a long wait. I long for the day PKI builds that state of the art, top quality steelie. I visit other parks for a good steel fix in the meantime. Quote
DeliriumDreamer Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 Wood: SoB Steel: Vortex non-rollercoaster- Sling Shot Quote
dxrunner Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 Wood ~ SOB because i work it it's Bad@$$ and i think its better than beast Steel FOF period Quote
