KIfan73
I didn't start going to Kings Island regularly until I was in college (early 90s). I was (and still am) so impressed with the people that worked there. I thought they seemed so "with it" and sophisticated. When I grow up, I want to work at Kings Island.

I worked pretty much every weekend the park was open and wanted to see if anyone had any burning question for a former employee. I’ve worked a little bit everywhere including special events like Carnivale and tricks and treats. The one thing that I am not super familiar with is the front of house stuff. Expand What do they do with the leftover food at the end of the night? I was at Larissa's in Riverside one night near closing and was the only one there ..warmer was loaded with slices and they were cranking more in the back. Same with coney BBQ one time, but they literally loaded my plate down and offered as many sides as I wanted.

Expand It really depends on the food, but most of the time if the item can not be saved the policy is to throw it out of course some food may get taken home by employees, but that is not allowed unless you have permission from a higher up. I have never worked at Larossa's cause it is only run by front of house, but I can say with 99% certainty that pizza is thrown out at the end of the night. A lot of items can be saved at Coney BBQ, but once it goes past the window to the front it usually never goes back into the kitchen. This is all from my experience I do not speak for the park.
