familyman
What is with all the experts on here speculating? Is it just me or is it getting old.
Delirium_Guy
Another ride removal rumor? I will believe it when I see it. Why not? After all, just take a look at the Park's track record more recently. Removing rides seems to be a favorite past time. Moving on, the removal of Ghoster Coaster would not surprise me. As someone else mentioned, I hear maintanance is a pain. Several other installations of this ride type by Caripro have been removed, including the dual track version at Legoland in CA. All of which had VERY short lifespans, shorter than Ghoster Coaster. I believe Caripro went out of business several years back. The ride's capacity problems are definitely huge. Add to that a ride quality that shakes, bangs, and slams you around and into the restraint. My personal opinion, I dont think it'll be around all that much longer. Guess we'll see. - Todd
BoddaH1994
I believe Caripro went out of business several years back. I wouldn't swear to this, but I've heard that they were actually bought by Vekoma.
CoastersRZ
According to the searches on Caripro I just did on the net, it appears as if they were indeed sold to Vekoma back in February of 2002. For the quality of ride that SDGC is and the capacity it offers, I don`t see it fitting that well with PKI`s longterm plans of family friendly entertainment. They could very easily dismantle it and add a higher capacity ride, and more family oriented like a Setpoint Swing Thing.
King Bowser
I dont see it going anywhere but maybe after 2005...besides all the other parks ghoster coaster(s) are like PKI's Beastie.. woodys.. jr woodys... PKI's ghoster coaster is a steel but they might add a new ride in its place and not to get any one mad Iam glad PKI doesnt have the HB characters anymore they treated them wrong I would much rather go to six flags and see bugs bunny & crew and Yogi bear and the rest of HB walk-arounds at six flags. But Nick is taking over the HBL we know and love Iam sure new & re-themed attractions are coming our way.
