Rivertown Rider
SandSerpent, the park's Wild Mouse, will be retired on July 9. Having just ridden the ride last week, it was a fun ride but was definitely showing it's age. It will be interesting to see what the park puts in as that area of the park (Pantopia) could definitely use a headliner to spread out the crowds around the park. https://buschgardens.com/tampa/roller-coasters/sandserpent/ 1

I find the timing tho a bit odd with closing it during middle of summer when school is out. The only thing I can picture taking its spot would be either a flat ride or that just be the station location something big like a hyper coaster. johnjniehaus
I mean was sand serpent great? No...but I'm still a bit sad to see it go. Hopefully they replace it with something that is actually awesome and not something that they say is awesome and then it's just kinda meh (aka Cedar Point ditches witches wheel for restaurant with outdoor seating)

There is plenty of other places they could’ve placed BackBeatQue.
SonofBaconator
Does that area of the park get much foot traffic? I know the Congo train station hasn’t been open for some time.
Shaggy
The general rumor I've heard is that Phoenix, and now Sand Serpent are being removed for the station of a potential B&M Hyper.

I heard the same rumor but for a giga. Would SEAS want two hypers so close to one another? Granted they have Kumba and Kraken and their share of launched coasters..
