Reclaimer
Maybe I've been living under analog rock for the past year, but I just noticed the Carowinds site is almost all flash-based now...unlike the other Paramount sites. It looks quite nice! Again, unless I've been living under a rock, it seems as if Carowinds has a new type of season pass, dubbed the "Platinum Pass" Interesting... (Feel free to flame if this is old news )

Ryan
Very interesting, it does not surprise me they have a different website than the other Paramount Parks because if I remember correctly they had a great Scarowinds website in october. I wonder if the Platinum Pass could be coming to all Paramount Parks this year or just sort of stay at Carowinds for the time being.
Reclaimer
I'm not really sure how the whole season pass thing works quite yet. (I'm a virgin in the territory) Is this the first year for Kings Dominion to get the Gold Pass? It's kind of strange that they're giving different parks different names for their season passes. It looks like the Platinum Pass is pretty much the same as a Gold Pass...and it's cheaper. Like I said, though, I know very little when it comes to the season pass thing. CoastersRZ
I believe that Carowinds introduced the Platinum Pass last season, essentially a renamed gold season pass. I think Kings Dominion had a gold Season Pass last year. PKI introduced their Gold Season passes back in the 2001 season. Yes, the site does look nice. My only problem with the site and all Paramount sites is the link to two free tickets in the lower left hand corner that pops up when you click on it. Since I have a Mac and use Safari, the whole area where that box appears is blank and never loads, even if I don`t click on it.
Reclaimer
That is one of the problems I have with their site on the mac side of things. With Windows and Firefox, I've come across another problem. I am unable to click the flash movie for IJST to go to that page. Instead, I either have to type in the page manually or use IE. *shudders at the though* It's not that big of a problem for me to type in the page address manually, but still...it's all about ease-of-use. PKIVortex
Okay correct me if i'm wrong. But I thought all Paramount Parks sites where the same? I do not see a difference between the Carowinds site then the rest of the Paramount Parks sites. What is he talking about?

I'm sure all the sites will start to look like the Carowinds site soon.
Reclaimer
Oh, I'm sure they will too. I'm just starting to get antsy.
CoastersRZ
Its not as big of a transformation as what the websites underwent about this time last year. Now if only they can get that webcam back up and running...

(Feel free to flame if this is old news ) The platinum pass was implemented last year. Its just the same name for the season pass and its quite colorful from the just white and blue ones. The new website (cant see it now at work) was suppose to go online on the first and it was mention that it was gonna be kinda like a new design and they were gonna update the ride profiles so that scooby's haunted mansion would no longer have a lift hill! Delirium13
I don't see a difference.
Reclaimer
The site is flash-based now. If you take a look at the menu at the top of the page, it's all done in flash now. I love that instead of hovering over a selection for a drop-down menu, you simply click and a submenu opens below it.
Delirium13
Oh! Now I see it. Pretty cool, but not that huge of a difference.
