flightoffear1996 Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 It bet its more than twice as fast as MF. Quote
KIBeast Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 Millennium Force goes at least in the 70-80 mph range around that bank. IJ:ST top speed is like 40 mph, so I hardly think it will be faster than MF. Quote

coasterbilly Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 ha MF rocks my socks, and it does go around 90 into the turn, IJ will be going half that fast Quote
Gordon Bombay Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 Does MF have explosions, helicopters, sound effects, machine guns, headlights, fishtailing cars, effects that make it feel like its going downstairs, does it travel through a cityscape, and most of all is it at THE #1 RANKED SEASONAL SMUSEMENT PARK ON THE PLANET EARTH!!?? I think not. Quote
UncleHenry Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 Actually, considering the top speed is about 100 mph at the BOTTOM of the first hill, the speed in the first overbank would probably be about 50 mph. Still faster than IJST, but IJST overbank is alot tighter than MF's, so IJST's would probably be more intense. Quote
TRTR Guy Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 How intense can it get with a '3'? It could be a medium speed ride where riders may encounter unexpected changes in direction and/or speed during portions of the ride. THis ride requirers uppy body control. Quote

I think not. Yes, it's at the #1 Ranked Seasonal Amusement Park On Earth. Quote

UncleHenry Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 The MF turn takes up a LARGE amount of space, which means the force of doing the turn is spread out over a much larger area. You experience more force on MF's turn, but that force is spread out more, whereas IJST's turn will not have as much force total, but it will take place in a less amount of time and space. So it all depends on the force/time ratio on how much force you feel at that instant. This science moment has been brought to you by Uncle Henry. Quote
CoastersRZ Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 Yep, the cars have to change direction quicker (time wise and track wise) on IJST. On MF, the train may be going faster, but it also has more track in which to turn. That turn does look pretty fun! Quote
