Tomb Raider: Fire Fall Looking Fine!

Featured Replies

Bury the hatchet? I have nothing against this guy except for the fact that he posts stupid things, I didnt judge him, I jsut told him to stop being stupid. But as gabe said back on topic, Fire fall's theming looks awesome and I think it will make for an interesting ride experience.

first of all its just not jsut, next you were judgeing my post. Also if I was posting stupid post, I would have been banned. So ffs shut up!!

By the time this ends i'll have more than 7 stars.

A couple people from our website went to the sneak preview yesterday. They said that still not all the themeing is done, including that not all the fire effects are finished yet. Guess the weird weather we've been getting this year in VA really threw them off schedule, but at least it was up and running. One guy on the forums posted a few pictures but I don't want to repost his stuff here, so I'll just post a link to the page on the forums...

TR: Firefall

Scroll down just over half-way down the page.

WOW blink.gif When I said eveyone would be surprised come opening day, I wasn't talking about myself. I can't beleive their using the fire water effect, looks so sweet my eyes could rot. Only wish PKI's version would use that effect.

From those images it looks to be an ok ride and the reason for that is it has no where near the hieght that PKI's does but the only thing PKD's TR:FF has on TR:TR is that fire that does look pretty tight.

Well PkdPlace.com has added photos of Tomb Raider Firefall and I must say, "even without all the theming done this ride looks awsome!"

Kong fu guy get over yourself and shut up and stop being stupid, get back on topic, everyone here is sick of your crap.

Yes the ride looks very cool.

Yes, Im 5, hahah you dont like the ride yet youve never ridden it.....you really think you know everything dont you? Once again quit acting like an idiot.

Alright, well the ride is hard to put into words, will awesome work? Opening day yesterday was a nice 60 degrees and a good start to the Pkd season. A good portion of the grove got a face lift with the new ride, new paths, patios, and plants.

As for Firefall itself, the ride is great. You get to choose which side you want, either facing the Volcano and the crowds of on-lookers, or a Cambodian themed wall with waterfall. As the ride starts, the floor drops out and the music starts to boom creating a great atmosphere. As the ride starts it goes to its 60 foot height which looks much higher when on the ride, not to mention the small hill in front of the ride.

As you go gas pumps from below the water create the burning water effect. There are several water cannons that burst during the ride perfectly timed to the music. Since it was a cool day the mist and some of the fountains that hit the riders were not turned on.

The theming is not fully compleate but is well on its way and should be in the next week or so depeneding on how much they work throughout this coming week. As for the fire effects, there are two main sequences both of which draw crowds of people to watch. This is where being an outdoor ride gets it benefits, its a ride and live entertainment for on-lookers at the same time!

Though I have not been to PKI yet, I'm not too sure if TRTR could beat TRF...? I mean you can't beat real fire in the amounts that this ride pumps out. And 10 foot drop differance isn't really that much different... BUT I'm not saying which is truly better cause I actually like to ride both of the two things I am comparing so I'm not biased. wink.gif

Sounds great.....I love how it is outdoors and can have the huge explosive effects...KI's has some great effects and is well themed and a lot of fun. I dont htink you can really compare them because they are two seperate experiences but I havent ridden Firefall yet. Thanks for letting us know what its like! Hopeflly we can get some vids and pics soon.

We'll have some video of the ride next weekend. On-ride video should be avilable after April 5th which is Media Day when the ride will be fully compleat using all theming and special effects.

I've ridden it! I have the video and look for it on www.anmpkd.com soon! I also have cupple pics like 70 of em'. The ride flips upsidedown 8 times and it pretty intense. If you ride on the volcano side. The floor drops slowly and the music starts slowly with some boom noise that is cool when the floor drops. Then the ride starts lifting up and the music goes faster and your advernture begins. So now we have the floor drop and you are being raised backwards (if you sit on the volcano side) and stop at the top. Then the ride falls back upsidedown slowly and goes back up and flip twice in a row 60ft in the air! Then the ride swings you back and forth all the way back up and now... the volcano side leans forward stright down looking at the fire before poff!... The water cannon blows loudly and the ride swings wildly back and forth away from the steam flames and water. Then it takes you all the way back up 60ft high then again you fall backwards upsidedown and tosses 60ft in the air and do 4flips in a row without stoping and the fire and water starts to bang pop and snap loud noises when the ride is fliping. Then the water gets lower as you swing back and forth all the way back up 60ft high and lowered slowly back down swinging gently back abd forth. Then the ride music end right exacally when the ride stops and the floor on both sides are raised back up and you get off. Truly it is an awsome and intense ride! You guys should deff. try it! wink.gif
