IndyGuy4KI Posted Friday at 06:31 PM Posted Friday at 06:31 PM Halloween Haunt is just around the corner and Kings Island just announced a new heart pounding maze debuting in 2026. Quote He’s back & he’s coming for you. Jason: Blood Reign haunted maze is coming to Kings Island Halloween Haunt this fall! https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1JXPKHBRGL/ 2 Quote
CoasterJack Posted Monday at 12:01 PM Posted Monday at 12:01 PM Will be interested to see how this turns out. In general just happy we're getting another maze. Cedar Point only had the conjuring last year while we also had Order of the Dragon, and seems to potentially be a lot of parks in the chain will continue to only use their existing mazes, so happy KI has continued to invest in new experiences for haunt with the addition of the haunted attraction pass. Would be a lot more hesitant to buy the access pass if there were a lack of investment... Quote
Outdoor Man Posted Monday at 08:16 PM Posted Monday at 08:16 PM OK- I will go into our basement in the dark to check out a noise. I'll go outdoors to see what a noise is. I'm otherwise, not fearless, but inquisitive enough to check out things. The Nightmare on Elm Street movies never phased me back in the day. Halloween movies/Michael Myers- meh. BUT, enter that Jason Vorhees Hockey Mask into any scenario and I will freaking run for my life. Most of the Haunt mazes and scare zones... wouldn't hold my interest. Put a 6'5" person in the Jason outfit with the mask, I'm out. Well done KI/Six team; you've come up with a concept that will scare the living crap out of me just the thought of it! 2 Quote
jzarley Posted yesterday at 03:00 PM Posted yesterday at 03:00 PM So, it’s interesting that they use the “Jason” name and imagery, but not the actual Friday the 13th IP and logos? Quote

There’s a complicated history that I don’t fully understand the details of, but the original creators of Jason only recently won back the rights to create future projects, however the film company still owns the “Friday the 13th” name and some other details, so that won’t be featured here. I have a personal vendetta against this new maze, but I’m a huge fan of the Hotel maze that this is replacing so I’m biased. I would’ve personally loved this to see replace an older haunt like Slaughterhouse, but I understand that this will likely attract more people towards that corner of Haunt. The company behind The Conjuring and Order of the Dragon created this, so I expect this one will be at that level. Last year I got to experience the Universal Horror Nights house based off the same property and I trust that Plague Productions can make something at that level. Quote
Losantiville Mining Co. Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago This is also the exact logo Universal used last year — albeit with the "Blood Reign" tagline replacing the "UN1V3RSE" tagline. I'm excited for this maze, though I wasn't able to see much of it from the top of the Eiffel Tower today. Any guesses as to how the maze renovation could've cost $600,000? I don't think that number included the licensing fees, even though those are quite high. 50 minutes ago, BryanJay said: The company behind The Conjuring and Order of the Dragon created this, so I expect this one will be at that level. It's a little funny because I believe this will be at least the second (and third and fourth) Friday the 13th/Jason Universe/Camp Crystal Lake experience that Plague Productions has produced. They put up a small CCL experience/photo op for Paramount Scares at Midsummer Scream in 2024. Quote
Swiftdrawer Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It is really fitting they are having it in Action Theater. A haunted house that takes you into a cinematic nightmare inside a former 3D theater. That’s just pure poetry. I hope they play on the the haunted house’s location a bit in it. Quote
