Gordon Bombay
I was the one who suggested re-theming it to war of the worlds because it would be way more cost efficent with a lot of outer space theming already there as for what PKD4LIFE said about they were already chaning it to sound wave.........No one ever said that Saoundwave was DEFINENTLY happening! BoddaH1994
I've said it before, and I'll say it again... It's unlikely that FoF will be rethemed to Soundwave. More than likely, they'd build FoF clones at the other Paramount Parks with different themes.

Enchanted Voyager
Sticking with the main topic of the thread , I just rode FoF today and the lights were in fact off. I was kinda disappointed because I wanted them on so I could see the old King Cobra cars inside.
FOF/Z 4-ever
There is nothing wrong with this ride. Even though it’s the same old inside it’s still a well themed attraction. I would much rather see them spend money on a new ride than fixing something that is still kool. You know the term don’t fix it if it isn’t broken! I wish we could get a straight answer why they are running it with the lights on. Nobody on here works on that ride? As I said before They never turn the drum lights during normal operation with the exception of the last ride of the night. Sometimes, if everyone wants them one, we would turn them on. Also, as someone mentioned, they prob forget to turn off the switches in the drum it self. Trust me, It was an accident and you will prob never see fof again w/ all the lights on. CoastersRZ
Yes, when I rode FoF last weekend it was just the lights along the wall on the bottom that were lit. None on the ceiling of the ride. It was cool to finally see the twisted mess of steel, but I prefer the disorienting darkness of the building than I do witht the lights on. HomerJay
Okay, a couple of comments. . . First, never had the pleasure of FoF without the lights on. But honestly, lights off is so great. You have the track just looming everywhere and--is it just me-- or are there times when you get to the end and you actually are so disoriented you feel like the car is sideways?! I personally LOVE FoF, especially since they got rid of those shoulder restraints from Helga's House of Pain. Second, I wouldn't really expect a change of theming to FoF. First off, it's one of the few rides where PKI actually keeps the theming up. Why change something that they sink some money in? Other than TR:TR, not many of the rides have much cool theming anymore (cough, cough, lower deck of Top Gun cough, cough). Third, to the person who said The Beast was overrated and everyone who loves it was brainwashed: what the heck are you talking about? I've ridden SoB, Mean Streak, Gemini. . . The Beast is simply one of the BEST coasters ever. . . not even just wooden coasters, in my opinion. A good nighttime ride on The Beast (last year I did front car at midnight in the fog--best ride EVER) is actually better than a ride on Magnum and, in my opinion, rivals Millenium Force! The Beast is--quite simply--a classic!
