Guest faceoff Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 How many people will be going to Kings Island this weekend, since the weather is not going to be all that great? How many people will go to a movie instead? Let us all for nice weather to return.
SOB_TOM Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 I will be there working. Not for long, but I will be there.
Reclaimer Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Please, for the love of all that is holy, don't see a movie! I work at a theatre

Guest faceoff Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Reclaimer Hi- I would love to come to Kings Island, but will have to wait till next weekend and hope the weather is better. I also enjoy movies. I live in west virginia, so i am sure i will not be near the theatre you work at. What is your job at the theatre?

Enchanted Voyager Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Rain or shine i'm going. Hell FoF is always open.
Thrill_Biscuit Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Snow in the forecast??? Could this be.....Winterfest?
Coasterfan Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 I will be going as long as the park is open. I've never rode The Beast in the snow! I think it's going to be fun!
King Bowser Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 First off I wanna say I dont trust weather men/women because weather is always changing. I will be at the park reguardless of what the weather may be.

HabloRM Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 (im not quiting pkic yet)(200) Does it really matter what amount of post you have? I thought you left.
FOF/Z 4-ever Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 If its as bad as they say it is where the high will only be in the 40's, KI may not even open. Remember the 1st weekend KI was SUPPOSED to be open but closed shortly after b/c it was too cold to run the rides. Even FOF does bad in cold weather. So, before you go to the park, you may want to call ahead and find out if its open.
Coasterfan Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 They will run in the snow same as they run in the rain, just as long as it's not freezing cold and windy.
KIBeast Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Faceoff, you're from West Virginia? Me too. "First off I wanna say I dont trust weather men/women because weather is always changing. I will be at the park reguardless of what the weather may be." I heard a local meteorologist say that the weather is not something that is easily predicted beyond one day, let alone a week. This is because the weather can change real quick.
Scooby_Doo Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Snow yeah RIGHT! I think it may rain a lil bit but I think the winds will move the clouds outta here.
pki_guy Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 My mom won 4 tickets for Saturday the 23rd through Time Warner Cable. The tickets say they are only good for that day, but if it's going to be cold and rainy/snowy I doubt she'll want to go. I really don't mind the weather, as long as most of the rides are open. Anyways, bad weather usually means shorter lines.
kong fu guy Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 (im not quiting pkic yet)(200) Does it really matter what amount of post you have? I thought you left. welll I want to hit 200..and Im not going because of the snow.
Enchanted Voyager Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 Well I rode 3 rides, Adventure Express, SoB, and SDTHC. The siens went off right before SoB.
Player Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 I got there at 5 it was wallkons the whole time. Till the park closed at 8.
Jasper Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 I probably wont go till the park starts its daily operation.
Guest faceoff Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 Pki Beast Yes, i am from the northern panhandle of west virginia. I love Kings Island and i am looking forward to my first ride on the italian job. Have a nice day.
Scooby_Doo Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 I wanted to go today but my plans got canned due to the crazy weather..Blame Canada!
Player Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 I wanted to go today but my plans got canned due to the crazy weather..Blame Canada! it was sunshine till 8
erniebald57 Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 It's about 45 degrees and raining, not to mention the wind is blowing pretty hard. I don't want to even go outside, much less go to the park. You people who are going today are certifiable nutjobs. I love the place as much as anybody, but It can't possibly be fun riding in this kind of weather. I feel sorry for those who had to work today.
CoastersRZ Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 Just a heads up, the park has announced on their website that they will be closing today (Saturday April 23, 2005) at 4pm due to the inclement weather.
FOF/Z 4-ever Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Yea, the park does close due to weather and this proved it
flightoffear1996 Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 I rethink they might as well leave the park open instead of making the people who drove up there mad. They can at least let them in and just close all the rides or something.
