Skippy
I found a neat little site that has all the Paramount Cartoons and a ton of facts on them. Paramount did make more than just Popeye and Busy Town and should maybe consider not just limiting themselves to Nickelodeon and incorporate them into the parks, whether it's through costumed characters, retro Paramount themed stores, retro merchandise, or even a retro themed restaurant, it would be nice to see them in the park. So check out the link below: http://www.cartoonresearch.com/paramount.html Interestingly enough, I completely forgot about the old Superman cartoon Paramount made back in the early 40's
BoddaH1994
It's a shame that the Casper franchise is too old to theme a dark ride to.
Skippy
While Terrytoons were originally released by 20th Century Fox, they are now owned by CBS-Viacom under Paramount Pictures and would also be a welcome addition to the park. Check them out at the link below: http://www.cartoonresearch.com/terrytoons.html PKI should really consider making an area in the park like IOA's Toon Lagoon
Scooby_Doo
It's a shame that the Casper franchise is too old to theme a dark ride to. I remember when Casper the movie hit theaters they had a spooky walk-thru of the manison that was in the movie casper at Universal Studios Florida. Most of those characters skippy are WAY too old..older than HB!.. I know popeye is now a universal proptery just like most of those old paramount cartoons I'd say stick with nick because thats what the kids know and love. Vortex
I think Universal Studios has the rights to Popeye from what I was tould at IOA in the Cartoon store.
KIBeast
"It's a shame that the Casper franchise is too old to theme a dark ride to." I couldn't agree more. All of those cartoons are gone and basically forgotten, other than Popeye. You could have dueling coasters that would be Popeye vs. Bluto. The only bad thing is, when the trains come close to eachother, you'd have to throw punches at people on the other train.
Skippy
Well, as I said before, they would still make a neat retro-cartoon themed restaurant or store. People wouldn't need to recognize them to understand the theme and enjoy it (I sure as hell can't name everyone in Toon Lagoon at IOA). Since were talking about Nickelodeon I found a neat site also worth checking out, you wouldn't believe some of the shows that aired on Nick back in the day (unless you were watching it back then). Also, to find out all the properties Paramount has to work with in their Nickelodeon Central area (surprisingly not that much), just click on Nicktoons. Check them out at the link below: http://www.classicnick.com/ It's hard to believe Looney Tunes and Yogi Bear were once airing on Nickelodeon
