Hanna Barbera costumes

Does anyone know if the park has the old Hanna Barbera costumes in storage?

There are only a small few of the H-B costumes left at the park, just the ones that were used on Picnic Grove events over the last few years. By contract with H-B the costumes must be destroyed at the end of their contracted life.

So in 2008 they get destroyed? I know that the HBL contract ends soon but is still in effect?

I believe that 2009 was the end of the contract. Also, they will be keeping the Scooby Doo meet and greet for next season. They have a seperate contract for Scooby Doo from Sally Dark Rides, which is why that ride will be the only traces left from Hanna Barbera.

Yeah I know Scooby Doo will be back next year(Thank Goodness!) but will Yogi,Fred Flintstone and the others walk around the picnic grove like they did this year or will that picnic grove be taken out for the new NU expansion.?

So even though it is going to nick then they will still keep scooby. AWESOME!!!!

I highly doubt that they will remove the picnic grove next year. Most likely they will change the names of the shelters (as they are currently referred to as HB characters. And they will most likely not have HB costumed characters. Instead, they might have Nick characters.

Thats a good question! I wonder if the HBL characters will return next year I know PKI uses them for the picnic grove get togethers...I hope they will return of course the grove my get a lil shortened for NU ..who knows.

No NO....I know I said "contacted life" but I didn't mean the roality life......I meant the life of the costume. Those costumes only hold up for a certain length of time before they just aren't good to use, at the end of that life is when they are destroyed. Most of those old HB costumes have been gone for years.

I volunteered and worked in the Grove about two times this past spring. Both days they pretty much had all the shelters filled, and still had two "shifts" of meals for seperate picnics. I doubt if they will remove some of the shelters, but then again, you never know what they will do.

Not sure when it was this year but the Reds had Cartoon network day. You could take your picture with Yogi, Fred, Dino, George and Astro. The lines where long but if you still what to see your Hanna Barbera Costumes their is next years Reds game.

OK guys, I have a mission for you......

A couple years back, I found a picture of Yogi Bear inside of a gas station buying a 12-pack of Moutain Dew. It was one of the funniest pictures I have ever seen.

Has anyone seen this picture floating around the net at all? The story goes, some people took the Yogi costume out of the park for a couple hours and dressed up and did stupid stuff in it and took pics. I would love to see this pic again....any ideas?
