StXsteven Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Did anyone else have trouble getting on this site between 6 and 7? Thanks. Quote
RingMaster Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Yeah, I had the same problem. Maybe the site was down or something. IDK. Quote
CoastersRZ Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Yes, I believe the site was down. I could not get on when I got home from work at 5:45, the site wouldn`t load, and Safari would return an error message saying the server could not be reached. It was just a temporary glitch, and everything is fine and running smoothly now! Quote
Captain Nemo Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Did anyone else have trouble getting on this site between 6 and 7? Thanks. The site goes down for about an hour and we are all like... WHAT, WHERE IS THE SITE. I CANT LIVE WITH OUT MY CENTRAL WEB SITE. ... ... ... KHAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!! Quote
harvesterofyoursorrow Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 I belive that it was either a database crash (not PKIC's fault) or something that rarely goes wrong. Its over now, no need to fret. Quote
CoastersRZ Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 PKIC is more reliable than the server at my work, and it is a brand new server! Its either internet, or email or the Cadd hardrive going down. It`s almost as bad as the server at school, which used to crash almost every day for hours at a time, in the middle of professors giving lectures. Then Apple came in and fixed it, for the time being anyway. Quote
Dane Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 The data center is constantly adding new fiber lines and such. Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 I talked to JJ from Nexigen as soon as I realized it was down and he explained that they were upgraiding on site in Cleveland. He assured me that it would be up within the hour, which it was. I guess you can't really expect a server to be up ALL of the time... Nexigen is up 99.9999% of the time (that's a literal number) which is one of the best in the industry. Quote
StXsteven Posted October 1, 2005 Author Posted October 1, 2005 Oh ok thanks, I just wanted to make sure It wasn't my computer or something. Quote
