Guest faceoff Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 How many people are going to the park this weekend? Or Because of weather conditions-are you going to stay away and save the cost of admission and the gas money? With the rain being predicted, will the park even open? Quote
HabloRM Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 There's no doubt, the park will open. So bring your friends and your raincoat. Quote
FOF/Z 4-ever Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 The park hardly ever closes b/c of weather. They might close a few hours earlier if its a bad storm and no one is at the park or if there is a really bad snow storm, they might close it. But b/c of cold and rain? It'll remain open. As hablo stated, bring a raincoat (and a sweater ) Quote
Captain Picard Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 When I go on days like that they close early and say it's because of weather. You can pick up your Winterfest tickets on your way out because you know the weather will better when you go then. Quote
FOF/Z 4-ever Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 On a side note, if the weather is cold and rainy, i doubt they will too busy Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 If it rains I think ill go if its sunny I think I will stay home. Quote
PKI Foodguy Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 Thank God...we need a slower Saturday Quote

As hablo stated, bring a raincoat (and a sweater ) Hardly, but I believe it has happned once (even twice) this year! The first day open to passholders, April 2, KI closed at Noon, just 2 hours after scheduled opening! The day after, also a season pass day, the park was closed altogether. It might have been closed another day in April when scheduled to be open. But as long as the weather is somewhat bearable, and a decent amount of guests are scheduled to show up and/or are present, count on the place being open, but not necessarily til scheduled close. I think the FearFest attractions will still draw a good number, even if it is a bit too nippy for some. I'll be there tonight, and probably either tomorrow (Sat.) night and/or for a few hours Sunday before the Steelers/Bengals game. Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 They've closed early the past two years on season passholders' day. You have to admit, though, that's one of the most fun days of the season! Quote

Scooby_Doo Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Yeah it's pretty cold out and nasty I doubt if I go tonight. Quote
pkiboy Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Yeah it's pretty cold out and nasty I doubt if I go tonight. It was a cold night last night. Quote
Robert_Waring Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 The price of gas, and the weather both played a big part in keeping me away from the park yesterday and today. I "might" go next weekend if it's a bit warmer. Quote
TopThrill Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 The only way I can enjoy the rides is if they let me off the clock. Like Friday night and Sunday. If im let off friday night. like the 21, I'll maybe if I can find another person do a little marathon on lets say Beast & Vortex. Last sunday me and an friend stayed on beast for about 45 mins in the cold rain . Quote
