Vortex
Hey Everybody, I was wondering if anybody knows when Charles J., Jr. Jacques' History of Kings Island book is coming out? When Jacques's Coney Island book came out about two years ago, he stated that he was writing a book about Kings Island. I have not heard about the book since. Looking at Amazon, I see that he wrote a Hershey Park book.
TheKlockster
Don't know about Charles Jacques book - but I do know all about Charles Infosino's book. He even offered to autograph my copy! Well that was depending on whether or not I bought a copy - and I didn't. I totally forgot - and I was so ****ed - I could have got an autograph from the author of the Unofficial Guide to Paramount's Kings Island - and I totally forgot about it! Captain Picard
I bought 2 and got Charles to autograph one copy that I gave to a Friend at WDW. I bet Charles can tell you how to get one in the off season.
Vortex
It look like Charlie did some research in 2004 for the book. Link below. http://64.233.187.104/search?q=cache:Lgn6C...gs+Island&hl=en
Legend Rider
wouldnt it be a bit early to write a book on a park that has only operated for 33 seasons?
TheKlockster
Not for a PKI fanboy!
CoastersRZ
Well, the park has been around for three and a half decades! The book on Kings Island would also feature a section on Cincinnati`s Coney Island and how Kings Island grew out of the flood prone Coney Island. I have read Charles` book on Coney Island, and await the day his copy of the Kings Island book is published. I haven`t recently heard a time table for the release of the new book. Our own Italianchef and author of the Unofficial guide to Paramount`s Kings Island might be able to divulge a little bit more information on this subject, but probably not a lot. italianchef
PKI still sells my book, The Unofficial Guidebook to Paramount's Kings Island, in Emporium and if anyone buys a copy and wants me to autograph it...just contact me. I'd be honored. If by some chance they are sold out, which I seriously doubt, try: www.orangefrazer.com or www.amazone.com My last e-mail with Charles Jacques was several months ago. And he gave me no indication of when his book will be finished. So I wouldn't hold my breath. Assuming it'll eventually be finished and released, I'm sure we'll read about it. Have a great weekend! Legend Rider
I didnt know you made that book!
CoastersRZ
Well I hope he eventually finishes it! His Coney Island book was a very well written book! I`m sure the Kings Island book will be well written too. It probably is taking a while to write in part because he is compiling pictures and people`s recollections of their visits to the park in years gone by.
