BoddaH1994
They used to do it for a few hours a day before opening day. Usually this is something the announce about a week in advance. We'll be sure to have any information we get posted on the site.
pki number 1
I asked Maureen from the PKI Media; and she did not know when they were going to have pass processing. If I find out more info I will let you know!!
flightoffear1996
Why waste a trip to the park?
teenageninja
Because a lot of the people on here have nothing to do in the off season.
FOF/Z 4-ever
And b/c would you rather do it during the off time with now crowds or wait in long longs with everyone else to get your season pass? Its not a waste of trip, esp if your only minutes from the park. Now, if you were hours, then that is a different story.
flightoffear1996
I just get mine before the season ends that way I dont have to waste 30 minutes up and back.
FOF/Z 4-ever
well, you were smart as i was not. I also couldn't afford it at the time, but now, i can. I bought the passes at Meijer and now have to go to PKI to get them processed.
CoastersNSich
Cedar Point also opens their Season Pass Processing Center the week or so before the park opens in early May. Not a bad move because their facilities are VERY limited, and lines can go on for HOURS, especially on opening day - 2003 was no exception. At least they offer previous passholders the option to renew by mail, and have the pass mailed back, using the photo on file. PKI of course has had better and larger facilities - sometimes in the Paramount Theatre - but to renew, you have to have it taken again. flightoffear1996
I never really find the line at PKI pass proceesing very long. It may look really like but they do have about 15 places that take your picture.

The Interpreter
Is PKI even still taking pictures for its passes? Paramount's Carowinds passes for 2006 do NOT have pictures...
TheKlockster
Ill probably be going up early before the construction tour on Saturday to get my 2006 Platinum Pass processed. The platinum passses have color photos! Thats weird that the Carowinds ones don't have photos. Are they requiring you to use the finger scanner now or what? I know if you get the twicket from PKI - you have to use the finger scanner.
The Interpreter
Yes, Carowinds uses finger scans now...they told buyers of their season passes that all Paramount Parks were going to be doing this for 2006. Interesting that apparently this may be another area where investment was deferred (trying to put this nicely) until after the expected change of ownership. . . YET, if PKI is using the finger scanners for twickets, then they must have bought at least SOME for PKI. I wonder what's going on at Dominion and Great America with this? I guess we will know soon. . . Anyone have an 06 PGA or PKD pass? Does it have a photo?
TheKlockster
Yeah I know for a fact that all the PKI admissions booths had finger scanners - back in 2004! If they are using finger scanners, will they even need the cards anymore? You just go in and put your finger on the thing and are admitted. Personally I think biometrics - while safer - is not 100% safe - and it can be easily turned into an invasion of privacy. I'm not a big fan.
