Quick season pass question

Featured Replies

Ok, I'm going for the season pass this year, just had a couple speedy questions.. Buying season pass at the park, or does it have to be online only? and is it the same price or more?

Last year when I got my pass it was online, not doing it that way this year tho... Just wondering, thanks!!

Wherever you get a season pass it's usually the same price, but that rule doesn't hole true for daily admission tickets. I would however advise purchasing online in order to speed up the process once you get to the park.

Hope this helps,

Ryan

Awesome, I'll probably do the Meijer thing, is it Ohio only? I'm in Indiana, so the closest Meijer is near Indy (west side of Indiana)...

Call your local Meijer and ask first. I bet it is only the ones near the park. . .

Meijer is great at customer service. I bet your local one could tell you (or find out) where the closest Meijer to you that sells KI tickets and passes is.

Also, at least recently, Meijer has been selling a "buy three passes, get one free" deal.

I bought mine at the Meijers in Richmond, Indiana and I've seen them at one time in the one in Muncie but I don't know about Indy area. Price was around $100 and we got a parking pass for $30, they also have 4-packs and one day admission tickets. Also try AAA, the one near me sells KI passes/tickets and sometimes they have a better deal.

Well, I come down 74 to 275 around to 71.. Anyone know a Meijer that isn't too far out of the way for me to just stop there and get my pass? I'm also coming in on a Tuesday, would the season pass crowd even be that bad considering the time of week I'm going?

Oh, I also avoid the exit's N and S of PKI, too busy. So those two are out of the question unless I have no other choice

Depends on what Tuesday, to the best of my knowledge the only time they are processing passes is when the park is open, so if it is a Tuesday, it would have to be in late May. Pass processing shouldn't be too bad, last couple operating days, the line was usually short, would have a few surges where they would get backed up, but normally shrank down fairly quickly.

I`m assuming you meant late May when daily operation begins, right? And yes, the season pass lines should start to die down some in the next coming weeks as more people get their passes processed.

The park's finally open, get over it. Why's every Topic have to go negitive. Everyone should be happy the park is open. Come, enjoy it. It's a fun and exciting place to visit. Instead of telling people about the good things, everyone's doing nothing but dogging the park. Things change for better or worse. Get over it.

YOU get over it. People have other choices, as well. I have plenty positive to say about PKI, but unless the negatives are also pointed out (and I do that both here and at GR), there will be little hope of the bad things changing.

The park is NOT there just for season passholders...

No, but they could have been open for a couple of weeks before the park opened, as they had been in the past. Whatever, this is a transition year, and what has happened has happened and no one can change that. Perhaps the next owner will be more customer service oriented than Paramount Parks aka CBS has been of late.

Let me say this, though. It is NOT the employees working at the park's fault. People at KI are cheerful, professional and trying their best to do a great job in some very trying circumstances. Be nice to park employees. They deserve it!

I always enjoy coming there because of the rides, the staff is always fun as well. It does suck that the only major park open in the Ohio area is CP. They're farther north too.

I avoid Fri-Sun like the plague at parks.. So the best days for me would be anywhere from Mon-Thur. The weather is more than good enough for places to start opening on the weekdays.

Oh well, I have time to plan for my trip May 30th.......

Cedar Point doesn't open until next weekend.

The following Friday, May 12, Geauga Lake opens. That park is NOT to be sneezed at. It has a large coaster collection, a good waterpark, a nice setting, and a few problems left over from its Burke & Story Six Flags Days, which it is working on. And the $24.95 ticket price is a good deal, too.

Cedar Point and Holiday world are opening the same day. Either park opening day has a new ride to have you happy. The Voyage and Skyhawk.

No, but they could have been open for a couple of weeks before the park opened, as they had been in the past. I really hope that this Metal Metor person is not an Associate at Kings Island. If he is, the attitude that he seemst to have displayed seems to be an example of what is Wrong and not Right with the park.
