I'm in the middle of Evel Kneivel's Jump @ KI You can watch people riding the skyrider (whatever they were called) in the background on this one.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NciJeHEGxzU...ngs%20island%
Vortex
That is from Old Coney Island before Kings Island.
CoastersRZ
Yep. That is Coney Island. The Carousel and log flume of course are still operating at Kings Island. The Dodgems ride that was shown was in a building that also housed the Cuddle Up and the Whip. That building is still standing today at Coney Island. It is now known as Moonlite Pavilion and is located adjacent to the Administration building, and next to Trabant and the Super Round Up. The Interpreter
So, do I get a cookie? Then again, I went to the old Coney Island many, many times. Oh, how I miss the Shooting Star! And before some smart aleck asks, no, I am not old enough to have ridden the Wildcat. Drat!
Jasper
That looks exactly like the old log flume and Scrappy's Slide.
The Interpreter
Probably because it IS. Those rides moved to Kings Island...the log flume I am SURE did...the slide? Well, Coney Island had one and Kings Island had one...so I think it moved, but I ain't exactly sure...
AZ Kinda Guy
And before some smart aleck asks, no, I am not old enough to have ridden the Wildcat. Drat! You were around during the days of the Flip-Flap were you not?
WooferBearATL
That looks exactly like the old log flume and Scrappy's Slide. I think you mean it looks like the Flying Carpets that became Scrappy's Slide.
wild_bill
If I'm not mistaken didn't "The Brady Bunch" film a show at Kings Island! I remember watching it I think! And I'm new to this site what is the talk about Coney Island?
Vortex
That looks exactly like the old log flume and Scrappy's Slide. Yes those are the same rides, but in the video they are both brand new to Coney Island. The old log flume is still at Kings Island as for the Slide its gone. Wonder if anyone else has any old videos of Old Coney Island. I have the PBS video, but I am not going to put it on line its to long for that. My dad has been on the Wild Cat he liked it alot. My mom loved the Shooting Star and Wild Mouse coaster.
