What do I do to prepare to ride The Beast?

Well during every offseasson I run 2 miles every morning for cardio, watch my vast collection of roller coaster DVDs so I can practice holding my arms up(really helps with endurance) and I go sledding down big ice mountains so I can pay respect to roller coaster heritage.

I find that this routine has been quite effective in preparing me to ride The Beast every year... Then again you could just get in line and ride it. Your call

Ummm - OK.  So you make a topic - and people don't help the way you want - so you make another one?  Way to go...

What is The Beast like?  Yes it is fun.  And yes it is cool.  Way too cool for you.

The Beast is long, fun, out of control. Good airtime in certain spots. Great finale with the double helix. I have rode probably every car and I don't really have a preference. If you can stay until close, get a night ride. It is really dark out there in the woods and seems to go faster.

I agree. Riding "The Beast" at night is a great way to end your day at the park.

And I prefer the front seat of any roller coaster. ( the front seat is highly unique on "Expedition Everest" at Disney's Animal Kingdom ) And if I can give some advice. While you are going through the double helix don't look straight ahead. Instead, look to the right. You can see the trees fly by you through the gaps in the tunnel and it looks like some kind of unnatural strobe. Very intense. Also, it has only happened a couple of times that I have seen, but if you can get "The Wave" started from the front of the train to the back. That makes the lifthill more fun too.
