WooferBearATL
^IJST is not a cheap or crappy attraction by any means, it has great theming and is a great concept and went over very well with the general public! IJST was definately cheap. I have heard it cost about 3.5 million Canadian dollars - which isn't very much. Even if it cost more than that - it certainly didn't cost any more than Delirium or Tomb Raider - and no where near as much as Maverick. As for the thrill of IJST - that varies from person to person - but in my opinion - the IJST doesn't hold a candle to the 15 year old Adventure Express coaster. Klockster! Got a spair 3.5Million Canadian sitting around?
TheKlockster
No - but I am saying that is about 3.1 million US. That may have been for JUST the ride though - without theming. But what did Delirium cost? Like 12 million?

Braves0511
I agree with the whole location of IJST, and how bad it is. But I've ridden it once and thought it to be an enjoyable ride. I didn't really know what to expect from it, and the best part was being launched into the pitch black tunnel, i wasn't expecting that, I figured it would be lit up more...the only part about it was the exit sign down there kind of ruined the effect. The one and only thing I don't miss about the 'Tiques, is the smell of the exhaust that permeated that entire area of the park. Although this has been mentioned before, I think a good alternitive worth looking into, although it may be a bit more expensive in the beginning, is electric cars... If they ever decide to put another car ride in elsewhere, it's a good avenue to take. haha, no pun intended... I hope they bring in another one of some form in the future, as this was one of those rides you had to get on at least once no matter what kind of a thrill seeker you are... Gordon Bombay
^Then if your not a mod or admin why are you scolding me for it? Why not report it to them and not contradict yourself?
BoddaH1994
I do appreciate that you guys are looking out for the well being of the forums, but correcting peoples' posts, quoting TOS, asking mods to close topics, etc is just clutter on the forums. Please use the 'Report' feature and that will email all of the mods, but please be detailed in why you are reporting a post. As far as spelling and grammar goes, as long is it isn't a blatant intent to disrespect the people of the forums then why even mention it? If the post is really that hard to read then report it. We're here to have fun, not sit in English class.
TheKlockster
Thank you Boddah for settling that issue. I unfortunately never got to ride the Antique Cars - so I don't really miss them. And I loved the Flying Eagles - but realize they didn't have to come out. The site plans for IJST included the Flying Eagles. They were removed because Paramount Parks wanted to move it to Carowinds. So its not necessairly the old rides missing that bothers me about IJST. Its the fact that its not that good a ride. It is marketed strictly toward families, forsaking all others. And even then - alot of kids dont like it. I saw many kids at Troika who said they thought IJST was too scary, and others who said it was boring. More guests I talked to didn't like the ride than did - and were talking about family people. Now maybe thats because people who dn't like the ride are more apt to complain about it than people who enjoyed it are to run around exalting it. Who knows. I do think it is the type of ride my little sister would love to ride. But I really think that she would have more fun on Reptar or Express than IJST.
