Dane Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Hello, I hope you are adjusting and enjoying the new forums software. I just want to get some feedback on what you think of it. Thank you. Quote
The Interpreter Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Totally agree. The ONLY thing I don't like so far is the white background...makes it very difficult to read (for me, at least). Uncle Henry's signature puts it somewhat aptly...though it was meant for something else. That all being said...it works great...Thanks! Quote
RailRider Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 I like the layout and especially how it moves to the newest posts since your last post in a topic. But like any change it is definatley taking some getting use to. Quote
CoastersNSich Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 One of my favorite features is the ability to highlight text and manipulate it quickly(i.e. make it bold, italic, change color, font, size, etc.) without having to copy and paste the code. Quote
KIBeast Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Personally, I like all the new changes! No complaints here! Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Here are a couple of changes with the forums which will be good for both sides: 1 - Moderation options are a little more liberal and allow the mods to have more control over the forums, thus helping us to improve your experience here on PKIC. 2 - You may or may not have noticed that there's a bar at the bottom of the forums telling you who's reading the topic. If the name is italicized, it means the user is currently responding. So if you are interested in a topic, you can see if people are just reading, or responding to your thoughts and ideas. 3 - The lower right-hand area of the screen sports a drop down menu allowing you to more quickly and easily navigate from forum to forum. 4 - Enhanced security features greatly reduces the risk of the security of the forums been penitrated ever again. If they are, Invision runs their own investigation on the problem and helps bring those responsible to justice. Quote

That is pretty cool I love that feature. The only thing I really dont like is the skin I think it looks like one of those free ones. Quote

It is one of the free ones, but don't worry... we're not finished yet. Quote
Dane Posted October 31, 2006 Author Posted October 31, 2006 This skin was made by a French man and me. A new skin is in development at the moment that will be the default one that with flow with the main site. Quote
TheKlockster Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Isnt this the default IPB2.0 skin? I like the increased speed of IPB2 and the multiquote option. As everyone said - this skin is too busy looking - makes it seem not user friendly. My only complaints about it are that I have heard IPB2, while being way more secure than 1.3f, isn't as stable. But that was right around the time 2.0 and 2.01 came out - so maybe this version is better. I havent followed development. Kudos on a pseudo-seamless conversion. It went smoothly for the most part it seems. Quote
Dane Posted October 31, 2006 Author Posted October 31, 2006 No this is not the default skin. The default skin is all 100% blue and has invision written all over it. Also this is version 2.1.x, not 2.0.x. Quote
s10ryan Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Vbulletin and invision are the 2 best forum softwares out there so yeah!! lets get som skins! Quote
