Vortexlover2
Are they REALLY going to tear down The Vortex? Or are they just making that up? It's fine, but I really don't want them to do. I mean it's Really REALLY REALLY fun. Telling people you've gone on the first 6 inversion roller coaster in the world suprizes people sometimes, especially if you were only 8 YEARS OLD, like me. RCTfreak
I wouldnt think they would have a reason for tearing it down....but i B&M invert would fit real nice there...... -rctfreak-

Ryan
Until you see a sign that says "Vortex is closing for an exciting new attraction in 2005!", or a press release is made by the park saying that Vortex is being removed, assume that it's staying. Also, a B&M Invert means an inverted coaster(hangs underneath the track, but does not swing, like Rugrats Runaway Reptar)designed and manufactured by B&M, a coaster design/manufacturing company. These inverted coasters are large, and feature trains that have cars consisting of 4-seat rows. I hope that helped some.

Browntggrr
This is at least the 6th topic asking/ referring to Vortex being torn down. Check out the "search" feature and all your questions will be answered.
Ryan
Pretty much all of the employees at PKI, excluding the higher-ups, have no idea what's coming next year. For some reason there has been alot of speculation on Vortex's removal, and I have no idea why. I personally don't think that we'll see a removal next year, but I do think we'll see a few ride relocations.

HabloRM
They will never get rid of Vortex, it's a great ride and a classic steel coaster. And the popularity is still really big.
BoddaH1994
Never is kind of a strong word, especially for steel coasters, but I still don't see it going anywhere anytime soon. Ryan
coasterbilly
i don't see it going anywhere either, i loved it, it was great ride and my favorite Arrow looper, plus it was the first to have 6 inversions, still holds that title.

There are 16 coasters that have more inversions, and another 10 that are tied with 6 inversions. Now if you are referring to the fact that Vortex was the first to have six, you are correct, but how that is holding a title is confusing. BoddaH1994
Yeah, and I guess we could close them every time we saw one started, but when you are in a conversation with your friends, and something that has already been discussed comes up, do you say, "This has already been discussed." and walk away?
