jzarley
Ok...so I'm kind of confused about the "theme"? Is this helicopter/aviation themed (hence their reference to "test pilots" in the press release), or is it bird themed? Or...is it just a name, and considering the source I probably shouldn't be trying to apply any themed story-telling to it?
ragerunner
My impression is its to be a military aviation theme and the military hardware is named Firehawk. Theming, I hope so, the line is going to be pretty slow, so lets hope there some good theming to look at with some shade. CF has a history of leaving patrons standing in the sun with little or now shade.
Auz
I actually work at Kings Island, and they announced to new returners on Saturday that it will be called Firehawk.
The Interpreter
I actually work at Kings Island, and they announced to new returners on Saturday that it will be called Firehawk. Really? And what did they tell the old returners? --The Interpreter, who just had to...
flightoffear1996
I think the listed 400 riders per hour is horrible I mean on a slow day with 10,000 people in the park not everyone could ride it. I really wish they would get about 800-850 riders an hour.
PKIVortex
They will get 800 pph. It's 400 pph per train.
The Interpreter
...or 66 2/3 per hour per car!
flightoffear1996
Those are some pretty cool facts. I wonder will they be using the dual station?
mutedarkness
...or 66 2/3 per hour per car! per coach Those are some pretty cool facts. I wonder will they be using the dual station? I don't see why not. If not stacking.... uff everytime u stack it kills a puppy and i bet ki dosnt want that.
flightoffear1996
The Dual station might be really use full right here. Two trains could load at once and once one clears the block they can send the next one on its way boosting capcity alot.
oysterman
sry, i dont really understand wat a dual station is...can someone please explain?
flightoffear1996
A dual station is like having two loading platforms so you can load two trains at the same time and it has a switch track so you can have one track and two stations. Here is the dual station from Air.
PKIVortex
They are two loading stations instead of just one like on most coasters. They have a piece of track at the station exit and station entrance, that rotates so they can dispatch from either station. Someone else may be able to explain it better. DeLorean Rider
Well that shouldnt be a problem since so far they only have 2 full trains.
oysterman
did xflight use the dual loading stations, and if so....did it work out?
Cory Butcher
They did have the dual loading station at GL, however as many people here will tell you this plan was not executed very well there at all. They frequently only used one side of the station.
oysterman
not executed well meaning.....cars hit eachother?? lol i think that a dual loading station would be the only way to go until after this year when the quenes die down
Cory Butcher
no, GL didnt have enough staff or patrons to consistently run both sides of the station.

coasterlova054
I didn't really like the name "Firehawk" at all at first, but the more i think about it the more I like it! It could've been named something much better, but Firehawk isn't so bad.
PKIVortex
I agree, at first I didn't like the name, it's different and it's not a movie, so those are good things. Firehawk sounds pretty cool actually.
