marlfox_21
Hey, I think that I hit the JACKPOT here as far as Kings Island History goes. Type this in and let me know what you think. http://timelines.home.insightbb.com/pki_years.htm m.f.
jzarley
That's a pretty cool site...I really enjoyed the timelines for other parks that I'm not as familiar with as KI. A few things that I didn't know/realize: â€â€KI's name was a combination of King's Mills and Coney Island. (Although, that factoid was probably in Chef's book and I just forgot about it...) â€â€Absolutely nothing new was added to KI in 1978 (from what I can tell, that's the only time that occurred...although The Beast came the next year, so I guess that made up for it!) â€â€KD was 1/3 smaller than KI when it opened â€â€Gary Story (ex-COO of Six Flags) is Australian Pretty cool site That took someone a long time to research
KI-ORIG-EMP
I lived in Kings Mills all my life and new about the contest to name Kings Island. I sat watching the tower being constructed from the lunch room at Kings High School....Class of 73, GO KNIGHTS!!! Mike
pkifreakhogg
That is really cool stuff. That would be cool to see the Eiffel Tower being built. Are there pics of it anywhere?

Do you know if they ever announced other names that were considered?
Dane
Chris Cowan, webmaster of that site, helped write the one on PKIC.
Stardust
That makes me smile at the nostalgia. Weird...feeling nostalgia for a place and time I wasn't even born in. Man, do I have an imagination. (Then again, you didn't need to tell me that one.)
