New Season Fever

Featured Replies

Hey hey, I just wanted to say hi to everyone since I am new here. I also have to say that I am getting the itch for roller coasters already and can`t wait for opening day. It got so bad today that I actually had to drive by the park. I just had to see the new Firehawk track laying in the parking lot, which gave me an adrenaline rush. I really think that its going to be an awesome year!

I wish i lived close enough to Kings Island to drive by. I have had new season fever since 2006 season

ended. I am certainly counting down to April 20th, when I make the drive from West Virginia. I am looking

foward to seeing the holy land-I mean Kings Island.

I live in the Dayton area and I've been getting the itch to just drive by for a few weeks now. I haven't done it yet but if I get some extra time I might take a drive past the park.

I live near indy, and I've thought about driving by. Its not going to happen, but its nice to think about. Can't wait until I get to ride Firehawk in April!!!

You won't get to ride Firehawk till Memorial Day Weekend. Sorry!

I have aslo thought about doing a driveby but i will be by there next saturday because we are staying at the Great Wolf Lodge and i can't wait.

Yeah I'm just glad I get to ride some coasters beginning tomorrow. I'm getting so excited.

Well so what!!!!! While you are bumping and grinding with all those sweaty tourist being miserable, we’ll be back here snow sledding with near empty hills.

^What do you mean "near empty hills" we're supposed to get 12 to 18 inches of snow by tuesday evening/night  . I am so ready for winter to be over so I can get back to KI.

If you coaster fanboys are so ready for some downhill thrills then may I introduce you guys to the oldest downhill thrill in existences and every year it gets a fresh new track for it!!! It’s called a snow sled!! In the next couple days you will have an optimal opportunity to experience the thrills that your grandfathers enjoyed in their youth hood. So get out there and enjoy it and don’t let this opportunity pass you by.

Going……..to get my 6 year olds sled ready for our annual snow sledding outing and to tell the wife to have the hot chocolate and blankets ready when we get back!!!

The best Sledding is at Perfect North Slopes in Lawrenceburg, IN. You slide down and they have a moving floor to take you back up the hill to try again.

Is it really going to snow that much this week in Ohio?

Is it really going to snow that much this week in Ohio?

1 - 3" of snow in northern ohio

3 - 5" of snow in central ohio

6 - 8" of freezing rain, snow and other mix in southern ohio

depending on the way the storm tracks. being in central ohio this reminds me of the 2004 storm where they didnt know what the hell was gonna happen until it was too late.

Good thing I'm going to be gone then huh LOL.... Just hope things are okay when It's time for to come home.

Yeah we crank up the atv and pull each other around on sleds before we hill the hills.

I fear there will be no sledding for Woofer or for me.

Woofer cause he chooses to live where it seldom snows...me cause I have to work during daylight hours come high water or snow...and it it rains ice, I won't--but I shant be outside should it...

I can't wait till the new season either...I'll be going with my friends all the time during the weekends B) Also, when I start working at the Great Wolf Lodge when I get off I'll just walk right over to KI and ride Face-Off before it closes for the night :)

a resident of southwestern ohio, I want the snow!!!

Knowing that many area events have been cancelled for tonight, where the heck is the friggin' snowstorm?!

I live a few minutes from the park and drive by it everyday.... Can not wait until it opens.... I like to take the whole park in not just the rides, I like to go sit in old coney on a bench and people watch...

Or better yet, sit and drink beer on the patio behind bubba gumps and people watch....

:D

I'm working at Bubba Gump's this year! B)
