Thats a pretty cool racing style track. That would be nifty to have a stand up and a sit down racing each other ;)

By that standard, many years Steel Force at Dorney Park is pink. It starts out red and fades really, really badly....Top Gun at Kings Island used to do the same thing.

But this track started out a faded red color. It isn`t an effect of the red paint fading to a pink color, not unlike what happened with the supports for Face Off before it was repainted.

Starting out, the ride was red, a light one (to be exact, coral red) but still distinguishably red. It just happened to fade faster since it was a lighter and so you get a bunch of pinkish looking pics of the track. Anyway if you want a major coaster with pink track in America, all you have to do is look at X. Although some might claim it is purple.

Anyway, when I first heard the name Firehawk, I pictured neon orange, or keeping it green. Oh well, at least it isn't that horrid primer color.

Id say X is more of a mix of purple and pink. With a darker purple then normal ;)

It was nice to see all the track pieces and supports disappear from the lot. I didn't look too closely, but I believe they've all been removed and moved back. You can definitely see the coaster from the highway though. Exciting!

I guess they won't be anymore updates, since the park opens on Saturday, and the majority of us will see Firehawk in person. I bet the steel is completely up by Saturday, if it's not already, the last update from PKI.com was a week ago.

Yes all the track is in its place and soon the Que line will take shape as well as landscapeing and other needs for the ride. Looks like the ride will open on time.

So Son of Beast will not be open and of course neither will Firehawk. What else is expected to be closed down?

If you look at this link you can see Drop Zone testing in the background, and if you direct your attention to the left side of the screen you can see a red train on racer cresting a hill. O I can not wait until saturday to be at the park while it is alive. (even if i am going to be working the last 4 hours of the park being open)

i love seeing rides moving,,,

but it sucks because im not going sauturday or sunday.

my sister has to work so i have no ride.

but i can just skateboard 100 miles away to Kings Island, it would be worth it.

Is that the Wcpo webcam? How'd did you get to it, the link I have for it doesn't work anymore for me.

So any new news on Firehawk?? Are they done painting it yet? ;)

There is still some painting to be done, mainly on the supports. The plaza has been completed, and they are working on installing the que rails. Testing will probably begin soon.

if anyone goes to Kings Island this weekend please take alot of pics of the plaza by Firehawk.

thankyou.

I won't be there this weekend, But I'll be there on the 18th of May. The first Friday the park is open to the public.

If Firehawk is ready to roll by then. Which is should be, but things can and still could happen to delay the opening of the ride.

are they adding scenery to the ride???

like trees or grass.

bcs. they are only about 17 or 18 days til Firehawk opens.
