July 13, 200422 yr Paramount's Kings Island continues to bring Hollywood to the Midwest with the announcement of their much-anticipated new marquee. Modeled after one of the most recognizable images in Hollywood, the new marquee resembles the famous Bronson Gates that grace the entrance to the Paramount Pictures Movie Studio in Hollywood, CA. When complete in late summer, the elaborate new sign will stand over 80 feet tall and reach 49 feet wide. In addition, the sign has 40-foot tall Corinthian columns and iron gates spanning 13 feet in height and 30 feet in length. The first visible signs of the new marquee include two large, red supports that are erected in the parking lot where the former marquee stood since 1978. The original Paramount's Kings Island landmark was destroyed last September during an early morning storm. Registered members can vote on wether they like the sign or not here. July 13, 200422 yr For some reason, it looks more Victorian than Hollywood to me. Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
July 13, 200422 yr I do agree with Cheif. YOu think they would have the famous HOLLYWOOD letters on it somewhere.

July 13, 200422 yr I think that it would be neat if they had that @ the entrance to the park, where you actually drive though it.
July 13, 200422 yr I guess I'm an outcast when I say it doesn't fit the theme of the park? I mean it's a nice sign, no doubt about it, but not for a Hollywoodised park. But I guess that's just my opinion.
July 13, 200422 yr Your not the only one, i dont really like it either, why can it just be like the other sign, plan simple to the point,
July 13, 200422 yr Have you all forgotten? its a PARAMOUNT park now thats why.Besides I think it makes the park look more classy.
July 14, 200422 yr Classy? Yes. Is Paramounts Kings Island a "classy" park? No. It is a nice sign, but doesn't fit the common good of the park. It is now hollywoodised, but that sign doesnt look it.
