Kennywooddude
TOGO made some really ugly looking Standup Trains.
The Interpreter
Not nearly as ugly as the loading process and the time it took, even when done as expeditiously as possible.
PKIVortex
Not to mention when they added those silly seat belts to Cobra, what that did to the loading times.
Jasper
I remember that awful buzz it made when a train was getting ready to leave the station. It almost made you want to go insane. Lets just be thankful that B&M didnt use the same style trains that TOGO used. I must say though TOGO's looked a lot safer than B&M's with just a seatbelt and a OTSR. TOGO had those bars that came across the chest and then the lap bar and then the belt. I also think that TOGO designed them to accomodate smaller people as well. Kennywooddude
I don't know bout that. B&M's standup restrains were rounded at the bottom so when you pulled them down, they went a bit over your hips(Hard to explain: )
Browntggrr
1983 was my first year and this was the first project i worked on Do you have any opinion about the removal of the ride since it was your first project? BTW, these are some of the best construction pics I have ever seen. Thanks!

Thanks! we wont get into detail but: lack of upkeep the others were built about the same time and they are still running, so makes you wonder
The Interpreter
It has always been my understanding that the steel used in the first one (King Cobra) was not of the same grade as that that Togo later used. Thus why KI's was the first to leave. . .
Tuskin
From what I've read that has also been my understanding but I do not know for sure.
DeLorean Rider
Where are all of these new pictures going? The construction section? The history section? I'm having a hard time finding them. (beast, Vortex, fof, kc, construction etc.)
Reon
Simply amazing pictures *misses KC more and more* If only I could afford a piece of the old track, or atleast a car from the train...
flightoffear1996
I really miss King cobra and actually I prefer Togo stand-ups compared to B&M stand-ups because B&M stand-up coasters put a lot of strain on your legs and it basiclly gives me a big cramp. I never remember getting these on any Togo stand-up roller coaster.
