Firehawk1189 Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 I was wondering if there was ever an oxygen bar at KI. My friend always talks about it but i cant remember if there was one or not Quote
PKIVortex Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Yes they were at one time, inside the Rock Shop across from Racer. Quote
Firehawk1189 Posted April 11, 2007 Author Posted April 11, 2007 my friend did say it was across from The Racer. Quote
Cory Butcher Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 When I was slightly younger, I always thought people were doing drugs when they used those, lol. Quote
The Interpreter Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Like many things, it came to Cinci years after it was passe everywhere else. Oxygen bars were so an 80's thing in California. And a total waste of money. Quote
Cody Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Lets get high off oxygen? Lol what flava would you like? Quote
Guest kwindshawne Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 I liked it personally-I didn't care for the "scents", but it did get rid of the headache from Vortex. Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 i never did do that but they claim it does wornders for headaces. Quote
Hendrick Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 i never did do that but they claim it does wornders for headaces. If thats the case, they could make a lot if they would locate one right outside of SOB. (SOB is my favorite ride, it is just a little rough.) Quote
boricuabud Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 haha advil, i heard, does wonders for head aches also. Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 I remember their sign that said, "Are you tired? Try our oxygen bar!" Quote
Snake Attack! Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 ah but advil requires walking across the park, and doesn't come in different flavors at ki Quote
boricuabud Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 ah but advil requires walking across the park, and doesn't come in different flavors at ki isnt advil sugar-coated though? Quote
beastdude Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 i did it ,thought it was alright it was just weird having people staring at you through that big window. Quote
The Interpreter Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 ah but advil requires walking across the park, and doesn't come in different flavors at ki Once upon a time it was sold, along with other headache remedies, at the exit to Flight of Fear. Rather odd, that. Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 ^ They used to have a nurse stationed at the Crystal Beach Cyclone. Quote

Rather odd, that. I remember that now. Never rode it with the OTSR though. Pretty happy I didn't. Quote
Cory Butcher Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Same here I only ever rode it with the comfortable lap bars that are on it now. It conforms real well to me anyways! Quote
SOB_TOM Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Those OSTR's sucked. I go to an oxygen bar every once in awhile: Its called the woods. Quote
ZosoBeast Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 I KNEW we had a picture of it! Oxygen Bar at Kings Island Bill Quote
boricuabud Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 i remember riding it once with the OTSR's but i was little and probably didnt expirience the head-banging to its full potential. Quote
SOB_TOM Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 I waited 5 hrs for FoF when it first opened, and got the OSTR treatment. Quote
LongLiveTheSmurfRide Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Riding FOF with the OTSR's was not so bad if you could stretch your neck out to get your ears away from them. But like I always say, it's bad design if you have to follow additional instructions to have a good time on a ride. Good thing they got rid of those headbangers. Quote
The Interpreter Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Not to mention the ride's instructions back then told you to sit back with your head against the headrest. Ouch! Quote
