just curious if The Beast will be running with a little more amp this season?

it has been a painful experience under Paramounts care watching The Beast get new brakes added throughout the ride.. taming it more and more...

i guess i am optimistic that Cedar Fair would release the coaster and let it run!!!

can anyone follow up on this for me?

The Beast has always had trim breaks, even since 1979, they just havent always been the same magnetic ones, the magnetic ones just stop you quicker than the old skid breaks did but you still travel at the same speeds. As far as ride experience this year, the ride is running great and seems to have had a lot of track work done, a very nice ride indeed. The crew, as always on this ride, has always been extremely fast and friendly in my few visits this early season. There was a young child who was fearful of riding with his two friends and one of the ride operators offered to ride with him and encouraged him to ride and really got the kid excited about the ride, I'm glad to see such guest interaction and friendliness at a park that at times has lacked it all over in the past. I also rode a few times on a wheel seat this past weekend, a bit rough, but its The Beast, just a different experience.

opening weekend, the ride was awful after the 2nd hill.. Me and my friend was riding it and it seemed that the track was about to give on the enterance of the 1st or 2nd tunnel (cant remember).

The next weekend, it was totally replaced, and so much smoother.

It's nice to know Cedar Fair is really taking care of issues that need to be fixed, and doing it as if it was an emergancy.

I can't wait to go to Cedar Point this weekend!

Something interesting happened to me when I rode The Beast today. After starting off the day with Face/Off, Delirium, Top Gun, Vortex, IJ:ST, and the Eiffel Tower I managed to amass a headache. When I went to lunch, I took some of the Excedrin my girlfriend had in her purse. We then rode Scooby-Doo and got in line for The Beast. Unfortunately, my headache failed to go away and I almost didn't ride The Beast for fear of getting sick. However, that would've been my biggest mistake all day. Some how, for some reason, after riding The Beast my headache went down considerably. It didn't fully go away but I felt a lot better. Don't ask me how this happened but if I ever have a headache at KI again I will make my way back Rivertown and wait no matter how long the line is.

How does the saying go- 'Feed a cold, starve a fever'.

'Have a headache, go on Beast'

Hey that would be a great commercial!

*Husband and wife go to bed. Wife has usual headache. Husband replies "Let's go for a ride on The Beast."*

Oh ya, have that commercial played during the Super Bowl and KI becomes the most famous thrill park in the world!

;)
