TheCrypt Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 When I raced back to X-Base on rope drop one morning, I walked into the quiet station (no chitter chatter among guests--yet) of Firehawk. I noticed a very minuscule amount of Bose speakers (I think there were 6). They were playing what I thought was a score from one of the Batmen movies, but they were turned down so low I couldn't make out clearly what they were playing. It's clear those speakers work, and they definitely need to be turned up louder. It adds atmosphere! 1 Quote
TTD-120-420 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 It was subliminal messaging. That's why it's not turned up. If played in reverse it says "Spend more nickels." 3 Quote
faeriewench Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Firehawk looked better in green. 2 Quote
thunderbeast1968 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I love Firehawk, but hate the lines for the coaster. It may just be me, but when it was X-Flight at Geauga Lake, the ride operators seemed to be faster. The loading and unloading ran smoother at Geauga Lake. I know the crowds are not the same that have been seen at Kings Island, understandably, that was probably a major factor. Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 The first several years at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure told a different story. Quote
spitfire Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 I was not exactly a fan of Firehawk the first time I rode it because I didn't like how uncomfortable the restraints can be while on your stomach and how much you press against them during the ride. I felt really vulnerable. But now I love it, and found that the more I rode it, the more I got over that fear. Now I can enjoy the ride. 1 Quote
BavarianBeatle Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 As was said after my family's first ride, "It wasn't like flying. It was like riding the bottom of a bad roller coaster." 2 Quote
