The Interpreter
To me that just ruins a great ride like FOF. In my opinion i beleive that they should just let er' rip. Like Son of Beast? Braking is often done to lessen maintenance, and extend the life of a ride. There are many factors that go into the decision of "brake or not to brake..." bparrott03
I wonder if this has anything to do with the new on-ride video that they are going to be offering?? Oh, and I went by SOB today. Still nothing in the station . Someone asked me why it was closed.. Told them why.. And they said their friends rode it last night, Im like um, they are confused. It has been closed since July. Yeah there are quite a few people that go to KI that have no idea what's going on. I was in the process of walking into the queue for The Beast earlier this year when a teenage girl in front of me was on the phone and was ending her conversation by saying that she was about to go on SOB. Maybe she was too enthralled in the conversation to see the huge Beast sign.
RWildman424
there are a lot of confused people out there. I was once told that The Beast was the tallest and fastest woodie in the world. When I brought up the fact that there was a taller and faster one less that half a mile away, he just denied it by saying that SOB wasn't all that tall. DropZone99
This girl named Lucy said that she rode Firehawk on April 21st., and she said SOB was open. I told her what was going on and she tried to prove me wrong. I don't like people that think they know everything about something. Defanailty if it is something you know alot about. CoastersRZ
Well, The Beast was the tallest, fastest and longest wooden coaster in the world... when it opened. Today, it retains the record of longest wooden roller coaster in the world (and the longest roller coaster in the United States). And yes, Son of Beast has taken the records for tallest and fastest wooden coaster. But we all know that sonny hasn`t been as big of a success for the park as what The Beast was. Raptor66
I was second in line for FoF today during the storm when the train got stuck halfway into the station. The workers had to literally push the train the rest of the way into the station until the brakes engaged. Afterwards everyone clapped. It was funny to watch. RWildman424
I was in a similar situation at CP one time. A bird set off one of the sensors on gemini so the e-brakes stopped us right before the final run. Mechanics came and had to reset the brakes and pushed us to get started. We got a pass to skip the line on any ride. It was awesome.
Raptor66
We got a pass to skip the line on any ride. Lucky.
RWildman424
We skipped a 2 hour wait for Millenium Force. I hate to say it, but it was relly fun to watch the face of the people who were next in line.
flightoffear1996
I know that Flight of Fear when it had the OTSR the line was allmost always a walk on. Now with the lapbars it revived the ride and now is one of the more popular rides in the park.
