  1. Felt appropriate Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. We already passed 12 tho... ^Also, that’s some dedicated teasing right there! Good job KI! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Currently still at 500 and approaching quickly (about 430). Still it’s gonna jump to 1000 or stay at 500? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Remember when nearly everyone was freaking out about KI not having teasers? And now KI is dropping bombshell after bombshell, having a very fast paced and fun teasing campaign? Good times. Good times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Up to 500 now lmao Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I’d love to keep arguing about B&M and Intamin, but the fact is this is B&M. Both have problems, Intamin have much more. Intamin also have many more injuries/deaths on rides manufactured by them. These are facts. Intamin is also known for having extended downtime on many of their coasters (the Stratas come to mind) but this is partially due to them pushing the envelope on what can and should be done. B&M chooses to thoroughly design and check everything about their rides, often not pushing the envelope as much, and going with what they know. Out of the gigas, I’ve only ridden Mille and Fury, and while I know this is unfair as one was built 15 years after the other, Fury is much more intense that Mille. It depends not on what company builds the coaster, but the layout they give to it. A giga will already be fairly intense as it’s 300’ (or about so) and goes 90+ mph. After that, it’s whatever the designers designs. With the design given, I think there is a lot of potential for intensity and a lot of space to falter. Look too at Levi and I305. One is very intense and the other not so much, so it is not inherently a designer thing, as I mentioned previously. So about KIs giga... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. ^^That would be similar to saying such things as Diamondback, Vortex, Bat, etc. are offensive for those who lost loved ones to each of these respective things. I’m not advocating a ride named “Heart Attack” I’m just saying that it being offensive wouldn’t be that good of a reason for it not to be a name. “Heart Attack” being an uncreative name would be a better reason imo. 8. ^Agreed. I think they should do something similar to SoB crumbling and have Firehawk burn itself up like a Phoenix and have the new coaster build up from it’s ashes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. To whoever said blacking our and greying out are different, yes. Greying out is mainly loss of color and the beginning of tunnel vision. Blacking our is having no vision and going fully unconscious. I have multiple friends that have done both on I305, so yes, blacking our of I305 is a relatively common occurrence. As for our giga, the intensity of it depends on how fast it goes through elements. If the trim kills momentum, the second half won’t be intense at all. If the trim does little, the second half will probably be incredibly intense. Side note: Intensity and forcefulness are NOT the same thing. If you don’t believe me, compare Lightning Rod/Voyage to say Diamondback or Intimidator at Caro. Very few people would say the hypers are more intense, but they pull higher Gs in the valleys and sustain these Gs. Forcefulness does factor into intensity, but it is not the only factor. 10. Maybe TEOTWAWKI is a reference to the absolute meltdown everyone collectively had/will have again when this giga was/is shown to be smaller than Fury. Either that or it has something to do with the coaster itself, which is boring and DEFINITELY NOT IMPORTANT at all. What teasing campaign ever teased the coaster? I choose to believe they’re just making fun of everyone lmao. If you can’t tell, yes I’m being sarcastic... or am I? Also, VERY IMPORTANT side note, if there is an SoB poster, I call dibs. KI will definitely give me it then because I called dibs on a forum that they don’t run (that’s the plan at least. Don please ;-; ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Invertigo and Firehawk were the first two posters. FoF came third. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. If we storm X-base, they can’t stop all of us! Of course I’m being facetious... but I have the perfect place in my house to put one if there was a chance for us to get some, legally of course lmao Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. ^^I can and I will. See Galactica (formerly Air) at Alton Towers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Excuse me I called dibs first. I didn’t specify on what because there might be better ones, but Invertigo’s is my favorite so far, so get in line bud [emoji36][emoji36][emoji36] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I may have missed it if it was already said because my app has been really janky today, but does anyone know what 30vert/25cmpd stands for? I can’t for the life of me think of what it is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Honestly, while I don’t personally ride Invertigo that often, I would be very sad to see it go. It’s a rare and fun model that has an incredibly small footprint. If they were to remove it, to really make use of its land, other things would have to be removed as well unless the coaster was very spread out like a hyper or giga. A blitz would need a lot more room there. A flat ride, however, could fit well in that footprint, though I would much rather see a flat ride go elsewhere instead of next to the two other largest flat rides in the park (besides WindSeeker). If this space were to be taken by an “entrance coaster,” again I feel like other attractions would have to be removed as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Can we just step back for a second and look at how amazing these teasers actually look. They have a really cool futuristic and scientific aesthetic that fits really well with xbase and the presumed theme of the coaster. They are much better than the small signs we got for MT and Banshee as they were pretty generic imo. While I wish they would’ve had some small reading signs from the beginning (such as the “Watch for Falling Trees” sign), I’m glad they seem to be putting some effort forth on these. Also, is there any way we could get these signs? If so I call dibs because, again, they look so awesome lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Just noticed on the posters, Invertigo is specified as “Sequence VIII” while Firehawk is “Sequence IX.” I feel like Project X will be “Sequence X,” but what about sequences “I” through “VII”? Edit: Just beat to it lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. ^They are known for their waterpark mostly, and every time I’ve been there, while the dry park is fairly empty, the water park is packed. In addition, yes KK and KI are eastward, but I’m not sure of what parks are close westward besides Six Flags St. Louis. I would assume this is where most of their guests come from in general. That and around Louisville (if they don’t want to go to KK). I don’t have anything to back this up; it’s just a theory of mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I’m pretty sure water park expansion is the general consensus at this point Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I feel like an RMC raptor would be a perfect fit (as do most other people). I’d hope if they do go that route it isn’t a clone of Railblazer and Wonder Woman. I wouldn’t complain if it was a clone of them though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. My guess is something new at the water park since it seems themed to big cats. I’d say either a new large family slide or a slide complex with the trap door slides. I’m leaning more towards the latter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I doubt that a park would stop a whole teasing campaign because a few people found the blueprints. The majority of people have yet to see the blueprints and probably don’t know they even exist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. ^So it’s weird that CP builds family coasters when it’s known as a high thrill park? No, because there needs to be a mix. And saying any 300’ tall coaster isn’t intense is plain crazy. I never once said adding 30’ would make it too intense. In fact I argued the high lat turns on fury were what made it so intense, not the height. I believe the reason this coaster seems overall not as intense as Fury is similar to why CF did not get Intamin to build Levi or fury (yes I understand other reason wee in place as well). I305 is NOT a GP pleaser. It is almost always empty, even though many enthusiasts believe it to be one of the best coasters in the world. Intensity is a main factor in that. Bringing up what you said about Banshee, haven’t you noticed how it is almost always empty compared to other rides in the park? As with fury, this is partly due to it being a people eater. On the contrary, many people think it is to intense or “too much” as I’ve heard quite a bit. Meanwhile, look at DB, MT, and Beast. Three not as intense coasters that are consistently the longest lines in the park. These coasters are GP pleasers. Now, if you were a major company looking at a large future investment, would you rather invest more money in something less people will like, or less money in something more people will like? Just look to the other North American gigas. I cannot speak directly for Levi as I have never been to CW and I have not heard much about it in terms of GP. Out of the other three, however, Millennium Force consistently pulls the longest lines and most GP I’ve talked to/heard at CP love it. I can’t say the same for the other two gigas. Millennium Force is also the least intense out of the three imo. I’m just saying, CF doesn’t really care about enthusiasts as much as they care about GP as enthusiasts make up a tiny fraction of their guests. Yes it would be awesome to have Fury 2.0. Heck, as I’ve said I may be completely wrong about this coaster being less intense than fury. We don’t know. We also don’t know the price tag of this coaster. We just have to wait and see what it’s like and how much it costs. Maybe then we’ll start to figure out why they did what they did. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. If it wasn’t in they budget, and they honestly believed the ROI would be higher by building it bigger, I think they would wait until it was in the budget. Considering they own multiple parks, if budget was their main concern and they wanted to build it bigger, they would hold off on upgrades to other parks and KI itself to make it in the budget. KI isn’t a family owned and run park that only has to upkeep itself. CF is a chain. If they wanted to, they could go all out on a specific park (as is often seen with CP). Apparently they don’t think KI needs a record breaker, so KI doesn’t get a record breaker. I’m not saying the cost wasn’t a factor, I’m just saying cost itself probably wasn’t the main factor.
