1. ^I would just say it’s closed because it’s a Monday. Usually only Red racer is open during weekdays/low crowd days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
2. ^Considering it was filed on May 28 of this year, I’m going to say no that’s not old Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
3. ^Yes I did. I don’t really know what it could be (I don’t think it’ll be a standup type ride. Maybe seats facing away from the track?), but it’s exciting that they’re possibly making a brand new coaster type. It seems like it would be a good fit for CP if they every decide to have a coaster interact more with the water (at least just based off the name) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
4. Fury KI’s Coaster Also as others have mentioned, the peak of this element is nearer to the entrance than in the center. Leviathan’s is more directly in the middle of the element while Fury’s is near the end. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
5. I’ve been looking at this NL2 creation and a few things pop out to me. First, very good recreation. This is probably exactly what ours will be like, element wise. However, some of the shaping leads me to believe some of the forces may be off. Firstly, on the small speed hill, I don’t believe it will reach -1.1 Gs. If you compare it to those camelbacks found on fury, you can see how Fury’s exit is more drawn out in comparison. On this recreation, the coaster bites down, which would give more negative Gs when whipping over the top. While I hope to be wrong, I think we’ll see a less aggressive dive out of that hill. Second, I actually believe the reverse treble will have more airtime than the video shows. This recreation has a slight movement going up the reverse treble instead of being straight which will dampen the airtime a bit. Looking at Fury’s, you can see that the track is straight from the top of the treble to the bottom, only rotating slightly around the heart line of the coaster for the banking. This should give airtime from when you start rotating to a little bit down the treble. You may find it odd but B&M tends to use zero G transitions on their gigas. Fury’s banked turns have airtime because they go from constant positive Gs to zero g transitions, as seen also at the top of the treble. This will extend the airtime on the treble slightly before the positive G section on the spiral down. In addition, this same shaping should also give airtime on the first overbank (specifically on the entrance and exit) and the end hive dive element. Lastly, I believe the coaster will actually pull 5 Gs rather than 4.25. Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe B&M hypers are designed to pull 5 Gs in the pullouts of their coasters. If this is the case, I think the reason this recreation pulls 4.25 Gs is just a small shaping error. I could be wrong about this tho, I just partially remember hearing this about B&M hyper models. Again, this was a very good recreation. B&M shaping is very unique and very challenging to make. (I would know, I’m terrible at it!) I just can’t wait to ride this coaster and see how the elements feel! The pictures from the recreation are fromDustinTheNow and AmusementInsiders video. The picture of Fury’s camelback is from google, and the picture of the treble clef is one I took. Edit: I would just like to add that some of this discussion may be incorrect due to the camera for the POV being the rider cam, which dampers turning and such. I could only be for sure if it was a static, rail-level POV Edit 2: I was told hypers are actually built to pull 4Gs, not 5, so 4.25 is an accurate max positive G force prediction Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

7. Yes... but they’re not CF. CF is their own entity that makes decisions based on what they believe is best, not on what other companies do. Look at the business decision just for CF and SF. Two similar large chains with two very different business decisions. Just because one company decides to try Intamin doesn’t mean they all will. Also, what SeaWorld coaster do you happen to be talking about? The only SW premiers I can think of are Sky Rocket II models. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
8. ^^^In addition to the fact that Intamin has cost CF a LOT of additional time and money correcting their errors. CF was also put in a few bad situations in terms of publicity due to these errors by Intamin. Again, nothing against the company and what they’ve done, but when you can buy coasters from other companies that are safer and more reliable, that can do the same things (element wise), and cost less to upkeep, there’s literally no reason to buy a large scale coaster from them. It all comes down to business. Would you rather pay more or less for a coaster that will bring in the same amount of people? How important is safety? Do you want this coaster to stay for 10 years or 30 years? All are major decisions companies have to make. CF used to rely on Intamin, but as I mentioned Intamin has left a very bad taste in CFs mouth. Does this mean CF will never work with them again? No, I probably shouldn’t have said that before. However, the possibility of CF working with Intamin again at this point is practically 0. Intamin really has to improve to have a chance imo (and by “prove” I do not mean to become rmc, I mean to focus on safety and reliability) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
9. I hate to be “that guy” but just because Intamin is back in the US (kinda) doesn’t mean CF will bring them back in. Based on all the problems CF has had with their rides (TTD, Mav, I305, Shoot the Rapids, and Xcelerator, just to name a few) I don’t think we’ll ever see Intamin make a comeback to CF parks. They are too unreliable and frankly too unsafe, in terms of amusement park rides. B&M has clearly proved they are superior in these aspects (not pertaining to ride experience. That is a different topic for a different day). Mack, Gerstlauer, and RMC have also shown this more than Intamin. To me, Intamin has their chance and dropped the ball on multiple occasions. Their rides clearly are very flawed (I still can’t believe Shoot the Rapids didn’t derail sooner/caused more injuries based on the massive design flaw) and when you’re investing $20 million, you want it to work and to work right. Nothing against the rides themselves (maverick is amazing as are other Intamins), but it just doesn’t make sense to go with the company that continually drops the ball over and over again. 10. Speaking of trims, I remember Banshee had one for a little while after it opened before it was taken off. Does anyone here know the reason why it was taken off? I would think it would be strange for KI to just have it taken off to make it go through the second half faster as trims are usually in place for a reason. Even if they were to consult B&M about having it removed, it still seems odd to do so unless there was a greater reason. The only reason I bring this up is the possibility of the same thing happening to this trim at some point. While I don’t think it will be removed, it is a possibility. 11. ^Tallest, Fastest, and Longest giga is also a record that is very possible to break. Just because it can be broken, doesn’t mean it will be broken, so it will stand until we are proven wrong... DB, who just couldn’t resist Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
12. Not an operator, but fury ops are usually insane. They’ll have a train on the course, a train stopped on the track in front of the station, and a train rolling into the station. This is all helped by the gates, which open for 5 seconds, no more. If you don’t make it, tough luck. You have to wait for the next train. Best ops I have ever seen. 13. Edit: Just warning that this post is very long, so be prepared It might sound odd that I’m saying this, but I’m kinda glad that this isn’t the biggest, baddest, and best coaster ever made (well this is kinda an assumption based on what I’ve seen, but I’ll be happy to be proven wrong). Hear me out: Once you reach the top, it becomes increasingly harder to go higher. For example, look at Steel Vengeance. Imo this is the best coaster ever made. But... now what? Where does CP go from here? They still have a hole or two in their lineup, and it’s seems as though whenever they try to fill it, it won’t live up to SV. I think most people see that they need a modern woodie, but what happens when they get a GCI or GG? The enthusiasts will be happy, but the GP will just see it as a step down, especially since SV has a wooden structure (which fools a lot of the GP). Even back with Millennium Force, they were at a point of “where do we go now?” Apparently the answer, at least initially, was taller and faster. What then? Smaller but with two launches instead of one, and more intense, making one of the best coasters in the world. Two GP crowd pleasers before SV. All along the way, more money and more advances in the industry were needed. Now compare it to KIs giga. Will it be a very fun ride? Absolutely. It’ll probably be one of the best coasters in the world! Is it the best ever, probably not, but that leaves room to grow. KI seems to be at the same stage as CP with MF. The difference is, though, the industry has already advanced far enough ahead to show that better coasters can be and have been made. KI doesn’t have to go from one brand new model to the next, trying to stay on top. They can patiently wait and see what works best, what has the best ROI, and what will fit best at the park. Then, by the time we get an SV tier ride, there may be one even better and so on and so forth. To me at least, KI isn’t getting “screwed over.” Getting a giga (or at least a coaster of this scale) isn’t for parks that are getting screwed over. It seems like KI is becoming a sort of “Second CP.” CP gets all the newest stuff, good, bad, or indifferent. KI is getting all the stuff that worked. I believe we are in a great position at this point, and it just seems to get better. Also, this coaster is just what KI needs. A very fast, intense coaster that fills the role as “Standout coaster.” While all the coasters there are phenomenal, none really stuck out to most people as there are many coasters like them. Beast has run its course as the standout and isn’t as popular as it used to be (sorry but when SV exists, many people in the coaster community looks over Beast except for its history.) This giga will fill this role. Sorry for the novel lol. Just wanted to share my thoughts on this topic. TL:DR - I write a book about how I’m happy about a non-record breaking giga and subsequently go into madness. Idk what stage of grief this may be lmao. Also, I’m ready to get stoned by the community again lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
14. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Orion_(nuclear_propulsion) Another interesting read I’d say... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
15. I’m just waiting for KI to dig a small hole and measure the height from that point... They could charge people to walk in there to see their new giga coaster lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
16. I mean, there are a lot more unique elements in this layout with more emphasis on turns and a drop that uses the terrain... but yeah, less inspired than and very similar a standard B&M hyper, composed strictly of airtime hills, a hammerhead turnaround, two helixes, and a splashdown Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
17. ^I mean the blueprints filed with the city say 286’ so either there’s a clerical error, which is unlikely at this stage imo, or it’s 286’. I suppose these plans could be fake or intentionally off, but as many have pointed out, this would seem to be way over the top to mess with a small group of enthusiasts and would almost definitely not be worth everything they’d have to go through to do so. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
18. I forgot to mention, but when getting off AE I noticed there were a few flags and markings on the ground (white flags and orange, white, and red markings I think) between the exit and the rope ladder climbing game. Think these could possibly be for the new building or for something completely different? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
19. Imo there’s no way this coaster won’t be better than Millennium Force and Leviathan. I understand the love behind MF is like that behind The Beast, so I get people still liking that more, but with the mix of elements on this ride compared to those two, I think this will be miles better. I305 and Fury on the other hand... I guess we’ll have to wait and see, but if this coaster has to be absolutely flying and really surprise me to have a chance being better than those imo. Just my take on the matter. I’ll just sit here waiting to get stoned to death by the Mille/Levi lovers and the KI giga haters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
20. Speaking of endless circles, did anyone see that the blueprints for KIs new coaster were leaked?!?! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
21. ^^If you want but it’ll probably leave a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths. While this thread is mainly about the 2020 project, variety in topics is what keeps it alive and running. Somebody recently got mad that this thread was wandering off topic and many people were upset at this because of the reasons mentioned prior. Many times, policing should be left to the moderators, unless it is necessary by others. What I’m trying to say is, police as you please, but be ready to accept some backlash. 22. That was a completely separate reply to the post directly above it. In this case, separate posts were necessary as they were in response to different things. Also, read the post above the one about Invertigos trains to see why they were mentioned. If you would like to police, please make sure what you are saying makes sense and is correct first Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
23. I feel like this is a good place to update this and bring it back up Edit: This is not for me, but what I feel is the overwhelming feeling of this thread at the moment Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
24. On clamshells I’d venture to say it doesn’t matter. They aren’t constrained by seatbelts like Banshees restraints are. Even if the seatbelt was 50’ long, if the clamshell doesn’t fit, it doesn’t fit, unfortunately. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
25. I just realized that if you only consider a giga is a giga based off lift hill height, then KI isn’t getting their giga yet, so you can just wait forever more until they do finally get their giga. At least you’ll have that to look forward to! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
